I have been working at Sutherland Global Services full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Good starting salary, good location.

    Cons

Lack of security due to the nature of the industry.

    Advice to Management

Be more cognizant of the work dynamics between employees and Team Leads. Set a better and more neutral measurement for recognizing the employees that assist in contributing to the company's success. Understand that social favoritism may lead to valuable employees being overlooked.

I worked at Sutherland Global Services full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The one thing I did enjoy was my co-workers and some of the customers that called in.

    Cons

Our schedules and desks changed every 2 weeks or so...I lost count on how many different desks I had...the turnover was outrageously high.

    Advice to Management

Stop hiring quantity over quality and pay employees a decent living wage.

    Pros

Work from home. Great trainig and great support if you need help.

    Cons

When I started training they said sales was a plus not demanded. Biy did they lie. You are required to make at least 6 sales a month and its hard when you work in the tech department and Cox cant even keep customers services running correctly.

    Advice to Management

Dont lie and tell new employees its Tech support and then throw sales at them.

I have been working at Sutherland Global Services full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The best thing about Sutherland is the growth potential. I have been promoted 3 times. The benefits are great and rewarding for seniority, your out of pocket expenses decrease after 2yrs of service and decrease again after 5 yrs of service. There are alot of different opportunities from customer service, sales to technical support. Our sales floors are such fun environments and offer a lot of incentives to employees for good performance.

    Cons

We are working on employment engagement and creating a universal culture that employees will be proud to work for.

    Advice to Management

consistency, change equals growth so all employees should expect and appreciate change. However giving things a chance to work is important as well. Don't bite off more then we can chew. Yes we should be striving for new business but knowing our capacity is important

    Pros

Decent pay. Friendly people. Good benefits

    Cons

Politics. Too much politics that you can not get promotion if you don't know anyone.

    Pros

Good place to start, not something you want to be doing for more than a few years

    Cons

No 401k match. Hard to take time off because of commission structure.

I worked at Sutherland Global Services full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Regular hours, entry level, builds good CS skills and habits if you have a good team leader who coaches you. Overtime and commission available. Health and 401k also

    Cons

Every month is a new "contract" for commission. They change the rules and make it very hard to make commission. Personally I made comm every month I was there, but only 1/2 comm due to having to miss a day of work once a month (I have 3 kids so sickness happens). Everything is based off of metrics and conversion rates and customer surveys. At least in my program it was. On average I made base pay of 10/hr plus $80-90 comm a month. Bi weekly pay of $650 take home after taxes. That's not paying for health which is $200ish a paycheck for single coverage. You aren't eligible for it until you have 6 months with company. Same goes for vaca. I rated 3/5 stars because of my team leader. Team Honeybadger was a pleasure to work for. I worked for my team leader not the upper management. They are disconnected from the floor.

    Advice to Management

Make comm more attainable and be flexible for workers with family. We have to dance for your ever changing demands, as well as the client's. You could at least be understanding when we have to leave because daycare called.

    Cons

The characters of people that they hire. They hire just anyone to work here!

    Advice to Management

Divide people more. It get gets too crowded
