    Pros

I enjoy analyzing loan application according to investor guidelines in order to satisfy the needs of our clients. I love researching to find the answer and moving families with refinancing their homes or purchasing a new one.

    Cons

The only cons to the business is the long hours you put in to cover the high volume of work. You have to love what you're doing in order to be dedicated. I guess that's why I'm still in the business.

    Advice to Management

Value your employees for they are an asset to your company.

    Pros

If you're in need of a job and looking to quickly go through the hire process then Sutherland is great at that. I had an offer 2 days after completing the application.

    Cons

Training for work at home is HORRIBLE. There is very limited information given from the orientation through the training to actually being in production. As I sit in training I'm actually looking for another job. It's just that bad.

    Advice to Management

Work on training. Try to have instructors that are in the same country as your class, it makes a difference when you are learning new materials that you would have someone training you that you can actually understand.

    Pros

Awesome opportunity to work for Microsoft as an affiliate, allows great insight in the behind the scene working of a Fortune 500 company.

    Cons

Sutherland is what I like to call a "chop shop", they bring you in and break you apart and leave you for sale piece by piece. A lot of broken promises, don't get fooled by the enticement of promotion during your interview.

    Advice to Management

Treat employees like they mean something, if I'm just another head at your job it doesn't motivate me to be an individual because standing out would mean nothing to you. Also, don't make promises you can't keep ... don't tell employees hey're up for a promotion or ask if they're interested in management and never come through.

I have been working at Sutherland Global Services full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Decent pay for job duties. Ability to move up without any experience or education. Great benefit package and direct deposit is offered. Company is growing at a rapid rate. Almost too fast.

    Cons

No employee hand book. Policy is made and changed without notice or justification. Very reactive not proactive management style.

    Advice to Management

Be more consistent and proactive with all employees. Get to know what you have within your company and place them according to the strengths that they have.

    Pros

    Good starting salary, good location.

    Cons

Lack of security due to the nature of the industry.

    Advice to Management

Be more cognizant of the work dynamics between employees and Team Leads. Set a better and more neutral measurement for recognizing the employees that assist in contributing to the company's success. Understand that social favoritism may lead to valuable employees being overlooked.
