I worked at Sutherland Global Services full-time for less than a year

    Pros

You get paid more than a McDonald's worker.

    Cons

You have convicted felons, weirdos, and perverts for co-workers. You work in a ghetto sweatshop of a call center with crappy hours and failing equipment. There are fights, rage-quits, and firings daily. The security guards in the building are there to make sure that the employees aren't stealing from the company. They allowed a car to be stolen out of the parking lot in broad daylight. There are no paper towels or toilet paper in the bathrooms anymore because the disgruntled employees were vandalizing the bathrooms daily. We were required to start bringing our own toilet paper. Someone pooped in the doorway to the manager's office in retaliation. Worst job I ever worked at.

I have been working at Sutherland Global Services full-time for more than a year

    Pros

You receive dental insurance at a reasonable rate. Medical insurance is overpriced and the employer should pay more than half.

    Cons

Management bullies and threatens you. Pay is very little for the abuse we endure. I have been working for the company for over a year and have PTO accrued but management won't let me use it.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If you want more dedicated and loyal employees, pay them adequately for what they do. At this point I would rather get fired and receive unemployment than work here any longer, but they just won't fire me. Apparently you need to get written up 7 times to get fired.

I worked at Sutherland Global Services full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

I can not honestly think of one good thing to say about my time spent working for Sutherland.

    Cons

Lack of employee development, inept management who turn their heads and sweep issues "under the rug," lack of morals and questionable ethics used in decision making, expensive benefits based on tenure, HR lacks consistency in its actions (disciplinary) and at the end of the day it's not about the people-it's about the numbers.

I have been working at Sutherland Global Services full-time for less than a year

    Pros

They paid on time. You get full time work. Not much really to say about it.

    Cons

I hate the fact that you don't earn PTO until after 6 months, the constant hiring of people only for half of them to quit is crazy. Can't keep more than 130 agents for current project and that is crazy having that many agents to not be able to handle the call flow. Causes customers to sit in a que for more than 20+ mins. Not a big fan. If you take a day off, of course it's unpaid you have to really make it up the same day kinda if you don't it's considered a UA day and you only get 10 a year. Too much to list.
