Review From a Sutter Point of View

    Claims Processor II (Current Employee)
    Sacramento, CA

ProsSutterConnect is a company that shows appreciation to their employees. There are various departments within Sutter, which mean, career opportunities and plenty of room for growth. With low-cost Medical/Dental/Vision and many other compensations, SutterConnect is a great place to work and they really care about you.

ConsNot receiving new/updated information required to do your job effectively. Or the information is not running concurrent or in sync with others. This can be, at times, quite frustrating>>>not having the same updated information//guidelines or resources to work effectively.

Advice to Senior ManagementAlthough there is a yearly "Experience of Work" survey given, that is supposedly confidential. This survey is for the Employees to rate the company, managers, etc. There are, to add, times within the year where employees, as a group, can talk or express their concerns to the CEO without management present. These times, in my opinion, are not truly confidential because someone can go back and tell management what was said (brown-nosing). And in order to participate in the online survey an ID number is given to each employee to use. The ID number, in my opinion, can still be linked to participating employee/s, which makes it NOT so confidential. So, there should be another way to Employees can express concerns or complaints. This would make one feel very secure, safe to express him/herself and absolutely remain annonymous.

Not a great place to work.

ProsUnfortunately, there aren't any good reasons to work here.

ConsThe management staff are terrible. They only think about themselves and overwork their staff.

Advice to Senior ManagementIt wouldn't help.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

    Paternalism is alive here

ProsGood benefits. Part of the Sutter system so transfers are available

ConsToo many chiefs (litteraly!). Reorganizations too often. Managers are in fear of CEO.

Advice to Senior ManagementListen to staff. Listen to supervisors. There are good ideas in this company but sr management seems to think they know everything.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
