I worked at Swift Worldwide Resources full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Stick to their committments. Accessible and friendly agents.

    Cons

Won't fight for you with their corporate clients. They are more concerned about their relationship with their big clients than representing their contractors, but that is industry norm. Representatives do not have a lot of oil and gas expertise.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Fight harder for your people. Work to have some recruiters with some technical background or greater experience.

    Pros

Huge opportunity to be involved with major projects and various departments. You really get to know the way a business runs and get the opportunity to interact with all facets of the business.

    Cons

Growing pains. But overall this tests your ability to professionally deal with any stress or disorganization that can occur in your career.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Streamline process improvement and department processes.

    Pros

money is fair but not far off from the rest of the oil and gas recruitment agencies, if you are a mid 20s girl you will have fun... at first

    Cons

people get promoted and laid off for no reason what so ever there. I worked there and thought i did a great job and worked hard. I was let go for no reason what so ever. The people that were promoted were all girls that were part of the "inner circle" and was not based on merit whatsoever. If you dont have a job and are desperate then I guess you should work here but keep your options open.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

pay attention to people that arent always up and talking and gossiping with others. Those are usually the hard workers.

I worked at Swift Worldwide Resources full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

They pay decently and promote internally. The office is young and modern, but it is also very strict in some regards.

    Cons

Swift does not care about their employees and they also discriminate potential hires--you have to have the "Swift look" to even be considered (young, attractive, bubbly, female). The environment is very cliquish, and you have to be a huge brown noser to be successful. Playing politics is a must. If you're not schmoozing and boozing with management, you won't go far. Their training is a joke and your job description/responsibilities are unclear. Internal employee/management relationships were very questionable as well. Overall, it is a sketchy company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't mislead your employees. If you tell your employees that their job is safe, don't lay them off two days later.
