I worked at Synactive full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Free water, coffee, tea, and parking, Ok work-life balance except for engineers and sometimes sales. Good views from conference room and offices.

    Cons

Poor management from CEO, he doesn't respect employees and yells curses at them often. Very low pay and company is always going through pay cuts and furloughs. Employees ordered to work outside business hours. Everything run as cheap as possible. Network is slow and often crashes. Computers are really old IBM Thinkpads.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get better systems, treat your people better.

Drivel from a narrow, self-serving perspective, and devoid of insight, much of these has been responded. In a restructure, it is impossible to treat everyone in exactly the same manner, nor would ... More

I worked at Synactive full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Free tea and water and parking.

    Cons

Poor management and leadership where CEO's ideas are #1. He can change policies and break his promises anytime he wants. CEO thinks he owns his employees 24/7. He likes to request work after office hours. Lack of resources where employees need to bring their own supplies to work.

Poor benefits. Outdated laptops and software. Slow internet and server.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I have worked here for five years, so I can only imagine things have gotten progressively worse. This company do not care for their employees. If you're looking for a job right out of college and you're absolutely desperate (as I was) then go for it. CEO needs to learn to keep his promise and respect his employees and not scream profanity at employees. There will never be any growth at this company until they get a new CEO.

I worked at Synactive full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Flexible working hours, good location and nice office building. Company offers all kinds of benefits: health insurance, Holiday, PTO, life/disability insurance, company events etc.

    Cons

Need Improvement on the infrastructure of company network.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Synactive CEO is very intelligent, highly motivated and knowledgeable upon the industry. He may seem demanding because he expects the employees to perform at high standard. My working experience with the CEO was rather professional and pleasant.

I have been working at Synactive as an intern

    Pros

Small engineering team, the mentors really know their stuff and want to help you, but also want to make sure you can figure out things for yourself, which will help you in the long term.

    Cons

The work internet can be slow at times which hurts my work process.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Give the employees the resources they need, including a faster Internet and more modern computers.

    Cons

I worked at Synactive full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

    -Good work-life balance.
    -Good location and parking.
-Management works very hard with the resources (or lack thereof) given to them by the CEO, to meet expectations and needs.

    Cons

-CEO is very unprofessional and does not know how to nurture employees. He constantly screams, and at times, verbally abuse his subordinates.
-Internet feels like dial-up speed. Constantly freezes and makes it difficult for all employees to stay productive.
-The computers are 12-15 year old IBM Thinkpads. They are very slow and are obviously not designed for what the company is requiring their employees to do.
-The entire company is ran on spreadsheets. There is no set ERP system to manage the company in an efficient manner.
-Salary, PTO, and benefits are below average.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    -Please respect employees.
-CEO must allow budget to invest in better infrastructure if the company wants to have better products, and to be respected.
-Find an ERP solution to better manage operations.

    I worked at Synactive

    Pros

good office location, open to taking newer candidates with no ERP experience

    Cons

The company is very archaic, 15 year old laptops running windows 2000 and the company calls themselves a tech company. More importantly is the lack of leadership from the CEO where his ideas are the right and only ideas that should matter.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Focus on the tools and systems to help create a more productive environment rather than trying to cut corners everywhere, and don't set up team meetings if the CEO is just going to rant about our responses and claim his are the best
