I have been working at Synchronoss full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Fast paced work environment, which offers up great career growth opportunities and a lot of visibility of deliverables and effort.

Work on high-impact projects with the largest organizations in the world.

    Cons

Your work load will require a ton of extra hours. Expect late nights.

You will be given tasks outside of your pay grade and title, but shouldn't complain about that much because that is how you grow.

    Pros

Great company to work for, especially the way its positioning itself in the mobile space.

    Cons

Not much traction seems to be given to internal innovation projects. Most growth in recent years has been on the back of acquisitions. Need to focus on organic growth.

Current Employee - Workforce/Real Time Analyst in Tucson, AZ

I have been working at Synchronoss full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Good pay for Tucson, but way under paid for the position based on the region. (Workforce/RTA)
Co-workers are some of the hardest working people I've worked for/with.

    Cons

    Poor preperation for big "event".
Imbalanced number of employees between locations (15 RTA's vs. 4 1/2 with just about the same workload)
No proper training program for new employees, kinda like a "Here it is, get to it..." scenario.
Changes to policy and procedure are typically by word of mouth, leaving some a little lost if they were scheduled off that day.
Poor communication in general (When someone says "see this?" during a conference call, what am I supposed to see?)
At best, AZ is considered the "other center".

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Um....get a clue? Seriously, have you ever heard of "too many chiefs, not enough indians"? Maybe paying attention to both locations equally, and I don't mean berate the "other center" more often. Set definitive guidelines with realistic expectations and deadlines.

I have been working at Synchronoss full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Exciting, fast growing company where working smarter and harder will get you noticed. There are some good ideas that have come out of Synchronoss. The focus on timely delivery goes a long way to keeping customers, and expanding the relationship as more of a partner than a vendor. That is a recipe for continued success.

    Cons

Going through some (to be expected) growing pains making the transition from start up to mid-market, publicly traded company. Long hours and frequent heroics are pretty much required.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Come down from the tower occasionally!

I have been working at Synchronoss full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

It's nice to have a decent paying job and pretty good benefits. Good amount of PTO... If you work under the right management team the work can be enjoyable. Also easy to move up because the company hires so many people that are not career minded, so if you can excel and stand out - you will get noticed.

    Cons

I agree with every con listed before. Lack of professionalism. The company is growing too fast and not spending enough on developing the management team to handle that growth. Stressed out managers lash out on employees creating a toxic environment for some. Hard to trust anyone - most people seems to have an 'out for self' attitude. Employees are not valued or made to feel appreciated. Lack luster attempts at "Employee Appreciation" events are just that - lack luster and contrived.
Lack of communication - performance reviews are a joke -(again, it depends on your management). Raises are a 'maybe' with no real communiation as to if and when it will come.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to your employees! High attrition rates mean something! Open the door to better communication and remove the veil that creates a fear of retaliation.

I have been working at Synchronoss

    Pros

    Decent pay
    Lots of overtime availability
Management willing to help when asked
    Offers plenty to learn

    Cons

    Weak/old computer system and software
    Incomplete/inneficient training
Staffing agency does not always offer much help

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to existing reps when deciding your training materials. Also try and pressure client companies to upgrade their software so employees can better assist customers. Otherwise, I must say I like this place.

    Pros

Learn new technologies. Closer to Suburbs and City.

    Cons

No work life balance, no appreciation.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You can expect people to work in emergency mode once in a while. DO not expect people to work in emergency mode 365 days a year.

    Pros

Great company in a great Space!!!

    Cons

Worst management team I have ever worked for. All they care about is padding their own pockets. Nobody has the interpersonal skills to motivate anyone at any level. Really a shame because the leader is a great guy, but falls apart after that. Finance team is a joke!

    I worked at Synchronoss

    Pros

Great technical group, rock-solid programmers, and some of the best technical minds in the area.

    Cons

Even though software is the core product at Synchronoss, management forgets that the programmers are even there. There is almost no room for career advancement, and the holiday party consists of all the sales and marketing types giving each other awards and applause.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Remember who builds your product.
