I worked at Syncreon full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

a good company not excellent one to work for. Good people in the day to day work force as in most companies but upper management and ownership very disconnected and or unconcerned about the on goings of the middle management.

    Cons

Very poor management in the technology division from Director and regional managers. Poor ethical and business management. Poor direction and and employee moral due to director level management.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Ownership and VP level management should look closely at lower managements ethical and moral involvement with lower level employees

The Bad, The Worse, and The Ugly

    I worked at Syncreon

    Pros

You develop a strong bond with your co-workers as there is a "we're all stuck in this together" demeanor.

    Cons

Do not walk away from this place, run. I have honestly never seen a company care less about their employees. There is absolutely zero concern for families, sleep, or your overall well-being. When you finally reach a point that stress levels couldn't possibly be higher and you keel over from utter exhaustion, upper management will step right over you and likely kick you while you're down. 80+ hours per week is the expectation. Do not expect even an ounce of appreciation from this company. Performance raises and bonuses are years overdue. Lying, backstabbing, and being thrown under the bus are all everyday occurrences. I would gladly flip burgers before I stepped back into this place.

    Pros

    Ok until Syncreon took over.

    Cons

The new manager that took over in 2012 ran the place into the ground. It was truly unbelievable. What kind of person would take a management position and not care about their employees or the future of the company? This manager just used the employees then dumped them while collecting a 6 figure income and then jumps ship 2 years later.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Find a new line of work. You clearly have no idea on how to manage anything. Pathetic.

    Pros

Easy acess to expressway and main streets. Regular employees are friendly and fun to work with. Overall benefits are competitive.

    Cons

Promotion almost non existance unless you are a yes person to someone in management. People are promoted to supervisory level with no training on how to interact with subordinates. Coordinators are expected to be on call 24/7. Basically a personal life is non existanced. NAL management has bben replaced by UK management.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management should be more concerned with why employees leave after a year and not with end of year bonuses. UK management should go back to the UK.

    Pros

Good salary. HR has a very open door. Great for a single person or career kickstart.

    Cons

If you're female you can sleep your way to the top. Very political and not performance based. More important is the butt you kiss, your nationality, or if you are a pretty female.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Complete overhaul of executive US leadership. They have zero grasp of what is actually being done. They care more about playing the part and having expensive dinners and wine while Travelling.

I worked at Syncreon full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

nothing really positive other than this can be considered warehouse bootcamp

    Cons

Syncreon will lie/cheat there customers and employees. Their reporting system is horrible and is created by people who know nothing about excel. the way numbers are reported are inaccurate and inconsistent. They will lie to there loyal customers and charge them so that other tasks and or customers can be worked on- They expect to run multi client facilities with the same exact people and headcount used for other accounts.
Leading to burn outs/Long hours and obvious mistakes.

If you are in management you are expected to work 12 hours + as well as being on stand by at home and checking emails and answering calls.

They will lie to there customers about there ORG charts- they will show key positions covered in all aspects of the business - yet those key positions often do not exist and are completely false. They will tweak customer numbers and KPI's to show they are meeting them when they really are not.

They will set unrealistic internal KPI's which do not relate to the official contract and will hold you accountable to the highest degree- not realizing there own business and time consumption that certain tasks actually take.

Upper management lies so much that they eventually believe in them or completely forget what they said and agreed to. When a key employee quits they will lie to the customer and say that they are on PTO. They are afraid to death to report anything bad or negative back to the customer for some odd reason- and they expect you to also lie to them creating awkward and uncomfortable situations. Often times you have no idea how to respond since the customers are not dumb and want the truth- yet your higher ups are scared to death to report any truth- even if the situation can be worked out.

In order to succeed you must be a yes man and or puppet. if you are not a puppet you will have a target on your head. you will be on specific peoples radar until you dumb your self down or stop questioning there ridiculous business practices.

They will take advantage of there customers by charging them for OT Labor to complete other tasks and duties because of there lack of headcount or common sense.

Zero training on all levels. Why? The place runs like a sweatshop- you have no time to train-the people they bring in from staffing agencies are hit or miss- the other reason why- is because everyone is afraid of losing there jobs- so no one will help you succeed or get ahead.

Stay out of this mess. Instead of admiring your talent and helping you progress- they will use every ounce of energy you have and suck all the life out of you if you are even somewhat capable to operate on your own.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Its only boxes-
you inbound them- you ship them- you store them.

    Why the drama?

    Pros

Honestly their is nothing good to say about this company.

    Cons

Management plays favorites with employees that buy them lunch also sexually harass female employees and temps. Covered up a near rape by a manger with fear and intimidation. No room for advancement for good workers only promote their friends.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The company needs to clean house and fire all upper management.

    I worked at Syncreon full-time

    Pros

    Great salary and benefits package.

    Cons

No communication between exec level management and mid level. The highest level is UK based, and they were professional and had it together. The breakdown is between the prior American company employees that merged with them. The American employees are "old school", territorial, and beauracratic. I believe Syncreon in the UK runs according to their mission/vision/principles stated on website. They just don't know what is going on here and need to have a complete change over of Amer senior management. Many cover ups and lying to protect American mgt when reporting to exec's. The "old school" managers refer to their hourly employees as dumb, idiots, replaceable, etc. It was very sad. I found these employees to be a wealth of knowledge and hard working, but beaten down and afraid to voice their opinion. Absolutely no training for salaried employees, just sink or swim.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

UK - Train your management thoroughly in your values/missions and principles, investigate and follow up to assure adherence. Let go of those who defy you. Don't listen to words, check facts and results. Highly value the ideas and opinions of those in the trenches - they are in the battle field making it happen. Make sure every employee is completely trained and has the tools to be a success for you. My rating below on Senior Mgt and cultures/values is for those here in the US.
