Pros
Good work environment.
Colleague are good, helpful and supportive for anything or doubts.
Good benefits for person who is starting his/her career
Cons
Management is not supportive.
The learning curve here seems good at the starting but reaches a saturation after sometime.
People are not paid as per their capabilities.
Less recognition and feed back for work.
Advice to Senior Management
The management should not only see the experience but also the quality of hard work a person is putting into the oragnisation

Remove redundant workforce from acquisitions
Dont lose out on quality while trying to optimize on operating margins
Be more aggressive, shun conservativeness

Nice and intelligent colleagues, leader in many aspects of EDA.

Moves like an aircraft carrier instead of a speedboat

Stable is good, but too stable is bad.

It's hard to get promotion.

Good benefit package and bonus program, good location and facilities, challenging work for the right people in the right departments.

Very slow to make technical changes internally, can be very autocratic and non collaborative, questioning decisions often frowned upon by upper management. Very fiscally conservative, huge amounts of cash in reserve and healthy business but unwilling to give raises over the past three years.
Advice to Senior Management
Listen more to employees, encourage collaboration, frown upon decisions made just because some VP's reputation is on the line, don't boast about earnings and new business and then announce shut downs, lay offs and no salary increases.
Pros
Low risk, a safe place in terms of layoffs and based on the revenue model, they are going to be alright, even if there is another recession.
Cons
Things move very slow; not too efficient.

I wish the middle management had passion of Aart and Chi .

-they encourage employees to grow within company but when i applied for a position they did not even gave me a chance for an interview. how can we suppose to grow within when they don't even gave us a fair chance?
-highly politicized company. it's mostly who they know and not what they know.
-Overkill process driven that it's becoming more as a "Red Tape"
-you can't exercise your decision making skill even on minute matters.
-Campus too many speed bumps

- Pls follow Abraham Maslow's "Hierarchy of Needs". That's all we need.

- Lack of strategic direction
- Myopic view by senior management - always focusing solely on a shrinking market (EDA) with no real plans for growth beyond that
- Lack of opportunities for advancement

Taking an ever larger share of a shrinking pie is not a sustainable long term business plan.
Pros
Good work environment.
Broad band assignments that allow a contact with all phases of a chip design.
Possibility to work in chalenging projects for leading customers in the semiconductor industry.
Cons
Not many opportunities to grow professionaly.
Little transparency with respect to salary raises and promotions.
Procedure heavy company which leaves less time to do true engineering.
Advice to Senior Management
Need to understand how to motivate people. Need to recognize the true potential of the most talented engineers and ensure they are happy. Need to improve on communication between management and engineering team.
