I worked at Synovate full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

There were talented, good people to work with. Everyone worked hard to meet deadlines and get jobs done despite significant challenges. There were many offices worldwide so one had the possibility of transferring to other locations. Broad client base so good chance to work on projects from different industries.

    Cons

Down side was frequent re-orgs and layoffs. Decisions to close offices or not lacked regular communication and were dragged out indefinitely creating an environment of uncertainty that harmed productivity.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Communicate regularly through your directs to the people actually doing the work. Don't continuously change things, instead focus on having thing done better rather than just differently.

    Pros

Over the years, I have really enjoyed working with my team. My coworkers were good team players and cooperative. Everyone on my immediate team was very supportive and genuine.

    Cons

The large company was quite bureaucratic which lead to things sometimes getting lost in translation up the hierarchy.

I worked at Synovate full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

great work environment, interesting co-workers, friendly atmosphere, solid benefits package, very convenient location, felt like an important contributor to the company, flexible schedule a big plus

    Cons

kept me on as a temp worker for 4 years before hiring me as an official member of the crew, had to fill in for my supervisor a lot, could have used more training and preparation for advancement

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

this company was bought out and I was laid off from work earlier this year due to our department being redundant (company that bought us already had their own finance dept)

Former Employee - Infrastructure in Chicago, IL

    I worked at Synovate

    Pros

Life isn't about the amount of work you do but the satisfaction you gain in life. Synovate has introduced me to spectacular colleagues and hopefully lifelong friends. There is so much work to do you can literally choose your own path, no one will notice if something isn't getting done as long as something is getting done...

    Cons

Work Life Balance... Learn quickly to not let the job consume your life, as there is an endless pile of work to be done. However, no one honestly expects it all to get done - which puts liability in limbo and can get uncomfortable.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't forget to recognize milestones achieved, it can be hard when you're quickly running after the next big fish. Lots of people were put out by a lack of understanding of the effort taken to achieve the results that were obtainable. Given more resources the desired effects can be achieved.
