    Pros

Family life is made very important. Your co-workers are like family. Very laid back atmosphere.

    Cons

Not competitive pay. When promoting within they will offer very little salary increase as opposed to hiring outside the company.

    Advice to Management

Promote within and offer competitive pay for promotions

    Pros

Working at Synovus makes sense if you're looking for a short-term position which you can use to negotiate a better salary/benefit package somewhere else.

    Cons

Pay is average at best, payroll is only direct deposited into accounts at banks owned by Synovus. Somehow, that practice is technically legal - but still very unethical.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing the things you are doing, they are obviously working for you. OR jump ship and go to TSYS or AFLAC like everyone else does.

    Pros

Ability to help customers when they are I a confusing and crazy situation. For example. .not able to withdraw money because thei card is blocked for a month.

    Cons

Most of the confusion is caused by the bank. Lack of follow through and thought proceses.

    Advice to Management

Please know that the money belongs to the customers. They can take it elsewhere.

    Pros

It is a large bank that still has a lot of the feel and flexibility of a community bank left.

    Cons

The bank has weathered the storm financially and has had some growing pains in the process. Some processes are still very fluid and can be frustrating at times.

    Advice to Management

    Communication is key.

    Pros

This company has a family like environment. The company is small so it is really easy to get close to your coworkers. There is also a lot of trust in the employees as far as making decisions.

    Cons

The pay is not very competitive with larger banks.

    Pros

Diversity, good benefits including good insurance, wealth management and stock plan, wide variety of positions with constantly changing technology! Good community banks and employees give back to the community.

    Cons

Vendor driven technology instead of customer driven, not enough priorities in customer service, only certain areas have room for growth and inconsistancies in management policies.

    Advice to Management

Appreciate good employees and recognize their potential. Give them the ability to grow and move into new advanced positions instead of bypassing them and hiring outside first. Also you need to refocus on Customer Service! Without them there are no jobs...
