Pros
supportive colleuges, good management, excellent place to learn, very good working environment, the right place to begin your career in finance as excellent training is provided believe me.
Cons
little bit less on compensation side, little value given to personnel life.
Advice to Senior Management
keep up the good work
Pros
If you are lateral joinee and get PL role.
May get onsite opportunities.
Cons
Technically no growth.
Body shop kind of work
Lot of politics
Bad infrastructure
Advice to Senior Management
Improve the cons
Pros
working time is very flexible. Middle management is very good. You can put your views to the system. System is good.
Cons
transparency is missing. HR rules are painful. no one will take your view and suggestions. dont know what is the role of HR in the company.
Advice to Senior Management
No variable pay doesn't mean that you will achive good margin in the books. Try to satisfy your employees so that they can focus on their job and can help company to grow.
Pros
Working in projects gives good exposure to technology and there is client interaction as well.
Cons
All senior people are biased and have formed a group of people who favor each other
Do not have respect to their subordinates
Do not keep their promises.
Common benefits are also given to selective people.
Rules are always broken by senior peoples.
False resumes are presented to client to grab the positions.
New policies are implemented on past dates.
The organization is not open in Apprasial feedback and process. Also lot of disparity in level of experience and kind of renumaration offered. You will find it difficult to grow only by trying to harness your talent.
Advice to Senior Management
Try to recognize people based on their experience and job talent rather then the time they spend with management doing useless gossips.
Syntel should concentrate more on software quality and talent retention, rather than only money making attitude and employee ignorance.
Pros
Only for Onsite Opportunities but thas it
Cons
No career growth just the same kinda work,
No good projects
Just Amex
Advice to Senior Management
miscommunication between juniors and seniors
Pros
Individual can make there technically background strong if being working for good project. They have good clients to work for.
Cons
Project plan includes sat and sun working as well for most of the time.No perks given at any time.
Advice to Senior Management
Help employee balance there personal and professional life. Also give package to the selected candidate based on there expertise and experience not on the basis of there previous packages.
If given a low package to experience individual they would make quick switch and hence increase the attrition rate of company.
Pros
Syntel is having processes like Research and Analytics at High end level, you will learn all things in syntel in End to End accounting.
Cons
Syntel is not paying much as par to Competitors, also syntel CTC always include Variable Pay.
Advice to Senior Management
I would like to say that you need to look inot issues like process politics.
Pros
Its a relatively small company and thus people have a lot of scope to grow. Also, one can very easily interact with different rungs of management.
Cons
The quality of work isn't that great as compared to competitors. Also, pay is another factor why most of the peole employed here leave within the first 2 years of joining.
Advice to Senior Management
Please make the pay more competitive so as to hire good people . They should provide opportunity to the employees to grow - both in stature and knowledge wise.
Pros
For a fresher it gives you hands on experience
Work environment in mumbai is good with some good bonding amongst work floor
Very close knit teams and thus knowledge sharing is amazing
Chance to work yourself up with a lot of work
Cons
No work and play balance
Teams are understaffed and thus overloaded
Weekends usually go for a toss
Management hardly cares about appraisals
Advice to Senior Management
Make the teams balanced
Give candidates with experience opportunities and not the people who just joined the company
make managers take a balanced view when promoting and not give preference to friends
Spot and Retain talent
Pros

- if you are lateral join for getting good hike n then decide your own wheather to stay or leave..???
- good for long term career..if u learn all these(?) things
Cons
- very bad skill management..you will get placed in any technology or project no depends on u.
- very highlevel politics
- some managers fills that this is their own company..treats employee's as labour
Advice to Senior Management
