    Pros

Good Salary, less management overheads, good work life balance

    Cons

Policies are not employee centric.. Internal process are not transparent or even followed completely..

    Advice to Management

Build a Brand by supporting employee by better pay structure, timely promotions. Start applying Green cards for deserving employee so that they can stay with you for longer period of tie..

    Pros

Good package for US hire. Interview process will happen more quickly.

    Cons

    No 401k match
NO Green card sponsorship. Even they told will do after 1 yr but no progress.

    Advice to Management

Have to sponsor GC after 1 yr atleast. That will make ppl to stay for long term

    Pros

    1) Good for freshers as you will get H1B easily if you are a good performer.
    2) There are few good people here and there who are good.
    3) People less then 5 years of exp can learn good things

    Cons

Being a small company they get pressurized by client to work with fewer resources on big projects with strict timelines. Resources generally work for 12 hours at offshore.
Potfolio manager only wants to promote himself and his friend. You will see him receiving all the awards which others deserve.
No clarity on growth if you have joined onshore.
H1B people who want to join for growth should not come here.
Think only as a stop Gap arrangement

    Advice to Management

Separate the reporting process of onshore and offshore employees.
Have a 360 degree feedback on managers.
    More clarity of roles

    Pros

The likelihood of finding a project, if you are OK to work for ANY project, is very high.

    Cons

    1. Highly corrupt leadership; most decisions pertaining to Syntel USA and made in India.
    2. Getting a promotion is hard unless you brown-nose your bosses.
They have a weird policy of giving 1/2 salary for a full-time employee if the spouse is already employed with them.

    Pros

Good onsite opportunities, good technical projects and new technologies to work on and learn, if you have the right contacts then sky is the limit for your personal and career growth

    Cons

Below average salary, person-oriented culture rather than process-oriented, no work-life balance, HR & company policies are not employee friendly

  9. Helpful (1)

No Process, No ethics and dump management/HR. DO NOT JOIN in USA if you are on H1

    Pros

You will have life time experience of bad management.
If you are lucky you will get some good people who is surviving here.

    Cons

Modern day slavery. Engagement Managers who is working in in Syntel since more than 5-10 years are pathetic.
If you are on H1B then you may end up US career with Syntel.
They will force you to relocate frequently, even you are with family.
However this company is CMMI 5, but there is no process. You should have personal relationship with higher management and HR for anything.
I will not recommend any company to continue Syntel as vendor because final impact will be on client.

    Advice to Management

throw out all incapable engagement managers and hire some good manager. But before do so change your HRs sitting on top level who even don`t know how to deal with employees. If you will continue to play with developer and leads company will loose current projects even though sales team will get new one and business will do down.
