    Pros

    Not much work, good work life balance. Salary is ok according to market rates.

    Cons

    Cheap quality of co workers and management. Whatever you have experienced and learnt you will forget as there is no quality or good work. Cheap and worst relocation policy and benefits if you are joining in usa. Small company never aspire to become better and earn good reveneue. No gueantee if projects will end in next 10 days. Managers also dont know till when the project is. Confusing performnace appraisal process. Intentionally made confusing so that people dont demand promotion or good rating.

    Advice to Management

    Sell this company. Merge with a bigger company . Only in that way Syntel will grow and earn some revenue.

    Us recruits basic pay comparatively good

    Good onsite opportunities You can stay longer at onshore without any hassles

    Work culture is very bad no work life balance No training or investment in employees Management is poor will promote anyone who can act like their PA No value for technically skilled resources No future vision Can be occupied in a single project for years Appreciations or recognition are given to employees who express dissatisfaction rather than those who deserve

    Rather than looking at the shorter vision look at the bigger picture

    1. At the time of joining one can sometimes negotiate and get good compensation 2. Rotation within different US locations if the project ends

    Cons

    1. No increments 2. No benefits 3. Appraisal ratings are biased 4. Not employee friendly

    Take care of the employees needs and employees will take care of your company

    Pros

    Syntel gives the opportunity to interact with client irrespective of experience. It's very good exposure to freshers to understand the nature of business and client.

    Only.... onsite if you are lucky enough..do not have 20 words to speak about in pros..

    Cons

    No vision, no plan(at least not good enough) , I wonder how year after year the planners keep making the same mistake.. Just an example: when I joined syntel 2010 they set a target of becoming an one biliion company by 2012. They could not make it...then they revised the target to 2 billion by 2015..still this date they could not even make it 1 billion. No offense but some serious problem. So now imagine where they stand on employee planning.

    Advice to Management

    Need some serious brainstorming. I do not see the point to even continue this business if you guys are not serious enough..
