    Pros

generous time off, plus paid green days (vacation days) for time periods that the students are not on campus, for example the university will give you extra paid days off around Christmas time due to students not being there, so it doesn't make sense to run the campus.

    Cons

The university makes staff and faculty pay for their parking passes, the price depends on the location of the lot you need to park. the university may not honor parking pass during dome event, which is very frustrating if you need to get to work and can't park anywhere .

    Advice to Management

Thank you for the great benefits such as time off and tuition benefits. Health insurance is costly, but that can be found with any establishment. Overall, a great place to work.

It's a gamble; you are trading a living wage for the chance that your children will want to attend this university.

    Pros

If you have pre-college-age children and if you meet the requirements, your children (if accepted) have the opportunity to attend tuition-free. The company contribution to retirement is above average.

    Cons

The salary is pitiful; the medical benefits are expensive compared to other large employers; although they make a big show of charging less for medical benefits to lesser-paid employees, in reality the difference it is only a few dollars a month. If you are not faculty or employed in athletics, you have very little value to this company and you will be reminded of that in every paycheck.

    Advice to Management

You need to value all the people that keep your university running, not just professors and sports employees. Pay them a decent wage and take a careful look at your benefits structure.

    Pros

A lot of free time, we can work on assignments. Easy shifts. Most of assignments and project work can be done easily.

    Cons

Night shifts. On weekends, rush of visiting students increases and creates lot of trouble. We can't focus on our work.

    Advice to Management

You guys are doing good job. Keep recruiting new students. Please change your point system. Sometimes 15 mins late should be allowed.

    Pros

Great work environment, collegial faculty and administration, up-to-date facilities, and very bright students. Always pushing to keep current with world and industry events and processes.

    Cons

Pay raises are a joke, barely keeping pace with yearly cost-of-living increases. Negotiate firmly at hiring or you'll regret it later.

    Advice to Management

As nice as it is to always throw money at new hires and new initiatives, administration should properly compensate the existing faculty that put and keep the school in the top ranks of its field.
