    Good benefits, nice resources, flexible schedule.

    Cons

    Bureaucracy is substantial. In-fighting. Senior faculty don't back up Junior faculty if not convenient.

    Back up your employees rather than defer to student complaints.

    Very very good opportunity to train practical skills and put everything you learnt into practice

    Cons

    The payment is not high, just 10 dollars around. It's really not a good place to make money.

    Easy work, easy to apply and flexible hours

    Low Pay, very boring work (but it is ok to do your own home work while in work as long as they are not conflicted)

    Very easy work. Depending on who your assistant residence director is it could be laid back or very up tight.

    Cons

    Very low pay. Could have to work a lot of hours if you are actually trying to make a substantial amount of money.

    Pros

    Very good chemistry dept with excellent facilities, good environment. Opportunities to TA.

    Cons

    Nothing in particular; I did not want to live in Syracuse with my family so I commuted from a smaller nearby town, which worked well. I have heard that others lost TA position after ~4 years, but this was not my experience.

    Great medical, good dental and vision. Retirement is a contribution equal to 10% of your salary to TIAA-CREF.

    Cons

    Salaries for staff and lecturers are low. Salaries at the upper levels of the administration are disproportionately high.
