I worked at Sysmex America (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Nice perks and clean facilities

    Cons

Horrible managers and co-workers. They encourage bullying and drinking on the job. Highly unprofessional

    Advice to Management

Watch your managers more closely. They are doing very unethical things and wasting company money

I worked at Sysmex America (More than a year)

    Pros

    There are no Pros !

    Cons

If you accept a job here you will learn quickly that you made a mistake. Get out fast. A lot of turnover during the years. Management (if you want to call it that) is the worst. They have zero understanding of the term "leadership". Not sure how some of the people at the top got there. Lot of backstabbing and zero trust within.

    Advice to Management

Japan HQ should clean house & start with new Executive staff.

    Pros

Sysmex has decent benefits, and is located in a nice area with close access to the tollroad.

    Cons

This company's management doesn't have a good handle on its employees. Some departments have questionable practices.

    Advice to Management

Take the time learn about your middle management. There are multiple areas within the company where management is unmonitored.

    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

Perks are good but other than that they're pure corporate America. Use of propaganda is ramped for internal brainwashing for status sake.

    Cons

No life balance, back stabbing highly encouraged.

    Advice to Management

Stop pretending you actually care about the folks that work for you. Just like any other company in corporate America its all about the share holders first. Bogus propaganda put out by executives to convince employees that you're the only company left to work for is so easily dismissed before the dog and pony show is over it shows you're either uniformed yourselves or lying for applause. Jokes are ramped before the show is over.

I worked at Sysmex America full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Sysmex is a company with outstanding technologies and products benefitting the end-user and making a positive difference for patient outcomes. The company is a mid-size enterprise with loyal employees creating tremendous growth and replacing the number one competitor in its industry. It is attempting to diversify into related clinical areas such as molecular with hematology as its core business.

    Cons

Sysmex has recently lost its direction creating friction between senior management and its employees by not promoting from within and creating political and personal silos within the company. Senior management has neutralized the gift of longterm, loyal employees with political and personal agendas counter to the growth of the company - the CEO is MIA and not leading the company effectively. Longterm employees are choosing to leave the company rather than fight senior management personal agendas.

    Advice to Management

Knock down your silos, neutralize your political and personal agendas and have the CEO lead the company again. Stay true to your company policy of promoting from within and provide equal opportunities to your current employees.

I have been working at Sysmex America full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Excellent benefits, Global leader in its chosen field, very few firings due to selective hiring process, outstanding training and community. Intelligent, thoughtful leadership.

    Cons

A little slow to recognize when to fish or cut bait regarding internal technology. While core products are sound, not the most technologically advanced, but extremely interesting to work on.

    Advice to Management

Really not much, management is really great. I would say they could communicate strategy a little more loudly, a little more clearly...but that's a minor criticism.
