Pros
Employees have fun and work hard. Pranks are common (like filling the boss' office with balloons). Bring your dog to work day each week. Fitness center reimbursement, great benefits. Employees select the music. Management listens to and encourages everyone's opinions, suggestions, and ideas.
Cons
High learning curve, new people are often "new" for a long time because of the depth and range of knowledge they need to acquire while learning their job. Training is provided, but it's still a high learning curve. Typical office: cubicles and lack of sunlight.
Pros
Salary - This company pays some of the best salaries in the region. By far the cons do outweigh even this benefit.
Cons
The new management (installed in 2011) is terrible to employees and will terminate them on a whim.
Stay away from this company if you have any sort of ethics.
Most employees there are afraid to take any risk due to management's heavy hand when it comes to mistakes.
Advice to Senior Management
Sell the company - you really have no idea how to treat employees. It's the people that work there that will make or break your company and you have done everything possible to make them hate you.
Pros
Youll get pad well, you'll be treated with respect and dignity, your family will be held in high regard, you will accomplish a lot in your career, you will get ahead.
Cons
There is no downside. This is a great place to work. Parking can be a challenge, especially when it rains.
Advice to Senior Management
Keep paying people well. Do more to support the community. Think longer term. Do a better job of reviewing employees to give feedback.
Pros
Low expectations, easy to get entry level experience.
Cons
Little communication and support from management, VERY unprofessional. You could work here for many years and be fired for no reason (or even a goodbye from old co-workers). No regard for work-life balance, salaried employees expected to work 50ish hours. Most every employee is viewed as a commodity.
Advice to Senior Management
The organization is so infected with unprofessionalism and selfishness that I can't think of any honest suggestions to fix the problems within it.
Pros
Some of the benefits are decent, medical and 401K
Cons
If you aren't one of the top executives at this company better look for another opportunity because you will not be appreciated or rewarded for your work.
Advice to Senior Management
Don't lie to your employees and treat them better.
Pros
When I was still there, the benefits package was decent. We had medical and dental insurance. The 401k was through Mass Mutual.
Cons
Management does not know how to treat people. You never receive praise and they will burn you if it makes them look better.
Advice to Senior Management
I don't think there is any advice that I could give that management would take seriously. They refuse to listen to anyone under them and are just out to make themselves look better at the expense of the employees.
