Pros
Flexible, team oriented, goal oriented. Able to grow if you know, communicate with the right people. and no micro-managing.
Cons
Advancing or promoting people for favors. Interviews were biased and waist of time for some colleagues who wanted to advance their role as a tmobile employee.
Advice to Senior Management
I do not have anything to say about management except for what i have already said in my CONS section.
Pros
Easy money and great room to grow
Cons
Help employees move up faster
Advice to Senior Management
Help employees grow in the company
Pros
The support you receive from the management is outstanding, really great. They were very supportive and really help me during my intership
Cons
Some employee can be mean sometimes on the work place especially is your intern. Make sure you ask as many question as you have especially to the management
Advice to Senior Management
keep the good work. Especially Bill Mckissack, he is just a great guy. very supportive and helpful. I would work with him for ever
Pros
some discounts on phones and monthly discounts on phone bill if they approve you for dealer line. also tmobile rewards is pretty good but only counts towards new activation.
Cons
no great discounts, hourly pay is not something great it is also lesser compared to companies like att and sprint. products are great but they also have a great churn rate. but management does not know about the employees or the products. I asked my district manager once to get a overide on a phone but he could not remember the phone and thought that it was a flip when actually it was a slider. this company is run by rich white people who care about education and degree rather than salesman ship.
Advice to Senior Management
offer more incentives for the employees. if the employees are happy they will improve and increase your business. best buy mobile and radio shack are killing the prices at corporate locations so activations are really low.
Pros
Great benefits package and I get a lot of great devices to keep as my own. Nice!
Cons
Bottom of the scale pay when compared to industry standards.
Advice to Senior Management
Speak to RSAs as well as RSMs to discover what's happening in retail stores.
Pros
Good pay and excellent benefits. Company often seems to sincerely care about its employees.
Cons
Some groups do a very poor job of technical hiring which has resulted in areas of incompetence. This makes it easier to shine if you are competent, but also creates obstacles. Management does not seem to recognize the difference between a strong developer and a weak one and tries to meet scheduling pressures by adding many contractors of questionable ability.
Advice to Senior Management
Do better technical screening of employees and move non-technical people out of technical positions. Listen to your experts that are loyal to T-Mobile instead of letting vendors and consultants with mixed motives guide you.
Pros
great benefits and a fun job overall
Cons
i bust my but every day and constantly reminded of how i can do better but never told what i've done right. every day i walk into the retail store and never know what i'm going to get yelled at over by my boss then yelled at by my customers ... retail sucks but this job is worse
Advice to Senior Management
not only tell us how bad we are but let us know when we have done well
Pros
Overall this is a good company to work for. There are excellent benefits and a relaxed dress code. Although a lot has changed over the years, from a reorganization to layoffs, we still have a lot of flexibility. If you are fortunate enough to get a technical position you can really learn a lot.
Cons
The reorganization eliminated several teams forcing some individuals to be placed in non-technical roles. Now there are not many options for career advancement.
Advice to Senior Management
none
Pros
The best reasons to work at T-Mobile include the fact that you kow you're in a "stable" work enviornment and the pay is great!
Cons
Great commisions pay
Medical Benefits
Dental Benefits
Room for Growth
Wonderful work enviornment
Great co workers
Great base / hourly pay
Advice to Senior Management
There is no feedback that I personally feel like I need to provide. I love my job and I love the people I work with and around!
Pros
Great work environment and comraderie.
Cons
Lack of modern tools necessary to complete day-to-day job.
Advice to Senior Management
Get tools faster in the field. Less Goal changes over a short period of time.
