Advice to Senior Management
None
Pros
decent pay. really laid back company. discounted service and phones. the health dental and vision benefits are wonderful! easy to get promoted.
Cons
long hours as a manager. the systems are pretty antiquated. lots of procedures that are just time wasters but it is getting better.
Advice to Senior Management
more competetive pay. free phones for managers since they use them 80% of the day. more accurate reporting. match reporting with commissions. two different systems. one you get paid on and care about a lot, one you get reviewed on but have a hard time caring since its not where the money comes from.
Pros
Proactive management. Values based company.Great benefits. Always room for growth and advancement if desired. The main focus is the customer resulting in successful growth.
Cons
Better communication is needed between the divisions. Too much emphasis placed on procedural tasks at the risk of customer neglect.
Advice to Senior Management
Know your staff at all levels. Encourage feedback and find ways to enhance communications between staff and senior leadership.Overall this is a great place to work.
Pros
benefits, discounts, development, training, experience
Cons
no advancement especially if you work hard, it seems the less you do the more chance you have of getting promoted
Advice to Senior Management
dont tell people what a great job they do and do nothing to promote them...instead just accept the work we all did.
Pros
innovative and creative company. senior management is supportive and makes themselves visible, most people in the company can see a face and put a name to it and many of us have met upper management in person. compensation and benefits are spectacular, especially for part time employees. youthful but mostly competent staff makes for a comfortable work environment. my specific market has a supportive regional manager who is available by phone and will learn your name as well as remember at least a little bit about all of us. company seems aware of our limitations and problems we encounter while trying to do our jobs and seems to be active in fixing these problems.
Cons
t-mobile seems to be trying new things and services that are hit or miss. while this is expected for a company that is trying to break away from being a traditional wireless carrier, they place a lot of importance on some of the failing products that can sway us away from focusing on moving on. the interior systems at t-mobile are inferior and often require us in retail to jump through hoops to get basic tasks done. the lack of support for customers having problems with handsets is setting us back in quality of service. the compensation from customer feedback is flawed.
Advice to Senior Management
keep making yourselves visible to employees because it makes us feel as if the management listens. however, sometimes it feels like the lower level employees are talked to like children. while i understand that you are trying to keep us focused on our jobs we deserve a little more credit for what we can bring to the table in more ways than our sales. opinions and concerns sometimes feel like they go in a jar that is seldom opened.
Pros
The Benefits at T-Mobile are Outstanding. You average less than $20/paycheck for medical/dental/vision.
Cons
In the Austin area, the mid-level managers are absolutely disgusting people. They treat you like you are nothing more than a piece of meat and take every possible opportunity to insult you on a personal level regardless of how successful you are professionally and positive feedback from customers.
Advice to Senior Management
Please pay attention to the turnover levels of the best sales reps in the regions. This is not by coincidence. Simply one or two interviews with the mid-level managers would quickly show how painfully unintelligent these people are.
