Pros
The benefits and pay, there's definitely money to be made and plus all the extra perks like employee lines and discounted phones.
Cons
Not having a life whatsoever, schedules are not very accommodating to ones lifestyle, dont expect to get time off, you gotta request it like 5 or 6 months before, not kidding.
Advice to Senior Management
Be more flexible when giving time off to your employees
Pros
-Great, cheap benefits
-Possibility is there to make a good deal of money
-Flexible and employee friendly company
Cons
-Expectations were not clear in my store at all (could be individual management)
-Ability to grow was hindered by pyramid compensation structure. (RSA to RAM to RSM to DM)
-Mixed and frequently conflicting messages from management, changes weekly
-RSA is expected to go WAY outside of their job description and sacrifice their commissions to deserve promotions
Advice to Senior Management
Do not penalize a front line representative for over achieving at their current position by not allowing them an opportunity to grow.
Pros
Excellent discounts on phones and services.
Excellent rewards and incentives for performance.
With necessary drive and ambition, you are able to advance quickly.
Cons
Pay is lower compared to other wireless companies.
Training for newer associates are not sufficient, especially if you had no prior wireless training.
The company proves to be inconsistent in forcing it's policy. i.e. customer care says one thing and retail sales associate says another thing. Management styles are inconsistent. i.e. one manager enforces policy others don't.
Advice to Senior Management
Consistency is key in a successful company. Everyone has to be on one accord to enable maximum performance.
Pros
Flexibility in schedule, commisionable job, ability to advance.
Cons
Poor management in some stores, unfairness when it comes to job advancement (they tend to choose their favorote people.)
Pros
Great people and opportunities to grow, if you are willing to put in the work, time and are willing to relocate. Great benefits, some of the best I have seen.
Cons
It's customer service. So if you don't like people, this job is not for you. The money can be tempting but you have to be able to work both individually and as a team and that is hard for some people.
Advice to Senior Management
Hire middle managers that understand wireless. Hiring people from the Gap and Bebe and whatever sounds like a good idea in theory. However when you get them in and they refuse to learn to industry, it kills morale
Pros
Great atmosphere and great people to work with.
Cons
Sad to see tmobile looks like it will not be around very long.
Pros
The benefits were very good and the pay was solid compared to other cell companies.
Cons
Stagnant growth as a company financially
Pros
Great company to work for in the wireless industry. Not like it competition, the culture of the company was similar to Starbucks.
Cons
The constant change of policies and the other worked Retail Store Managers. District Managers really didn't work with the field management level well.
Advice to Senior Management
The merger thing with AT&T really made the employees lose respect for senior management. It was learned on the new channels before a corporate communication was produced to the employees.
Pros
good Salary, Benefits, respect from managment
Cons
Not many opportunities for advancement
Pros
Commission payout on top of hourly, understood personal time aside from work, great job for college students, easy going for the most part
Cons
Growth becomes limited at some point, commission payout decreased at some point, management gets unprofessional at times
Advice to Senior Management
Unprofessional management at times especially when they like to gossip about stuff that is irrelevant to work and performance
