one of the challenges is that there is a lot of completion within the company between Whole sale and Corporate.

I worked at T-Mobile full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Everyone was incredibly welcoming and helpful whenever I had any questions.

Culture was the best part. T-Mobile is all about being contrary relative to the other big carriers, the "un-carrier". And that sort of message is reflected in the employees, who can approach problems in more unique ways and tend to be less stiff than at other telecom companies.

The hours are manageable on every level, and the work was stimulating. A great experience.

    Cons

Time-off was always unpaid for interns like myself, without exception.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep interacting with the offices outside of Washington.

No growth prospect - In the retail stores

Former Employee - Retail Sales Associate in New York, NY

I worked at T-Mobile part-time for more than a year

    Pros

The service packages for the customers are great!!

    Cons

No growth prospective in the Retail store jobs, Retails employees are hired on a part time status and it is very hard or practically impossible for a part timer to transition into a full time employee.
The job could get monotonous and boring, as mostly it is very repetitive and not challenging.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The part time employees need to be promoted into more full time positions, rather than hiring from the out side for the full time jobs. The retail outlets should not be under total power of the managers, as then the managers take it for granted and do not expose great talent to better positions. Also, the retail store jobs should promise a career advancement into the corporate positions.

I worked at T-Mobile full-time for less than a year

    Pros

The company is a great company to work for as an employee. The pay, and benefits are really good. They offer a very informal yet scrappy and positive work culture. The leadership is very agile, informal yet productive and helpful.

    Cons

The only cons I see is the culture shock and adjustment coming in from the outside from a more formal and conservative typical cooperation.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

For on-boarding should do a better job with business culture preparation

I have been working at T-Mobile full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

    Company Truck

    Company Gas Card

    Company Credit Card

    Growth Opportunities (Sr Technician)

Not much Micromanaging (as long as you keep up with your assigned tasks and always update the Trouble Ticketing system) - I am sure this varies by manager/market.

    Cons

    High Stress Environment.

    Lots of windshield time driving.

    Many different technologies to learn.

There is not much of a standard for how the Sites are built out since each site could have been built by different contractors. Some times this makes troubleshooting difficult.

Not much of a Team vibe, Most employees stay to themselves. Previous employers I have been with were much more about Teamwork.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The managers could look out more for their employees as opposed to always worrying about the bottom line. Some times safety is overlooked in favor of speediness of repairs/work completion.

    Pros

    Cons

no education and wanting to go get more education from management. the Pay is not good at all for all the work they want you to do. there is no job Security. and they will over work you.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

you have a Lot of hard working people in your company and there is no appreciation for those people. Im 3yrs in the company and work hard to try to grow and get more money. But didn't see the work in management for all my hard work. I feel over work under paid and NO appreciation.
