I had a very good experience at T-Systems.

    I worked at T-Systems full-time

    Pros

The pros include the people. Great people to work with and partner with. Paid time off is excellent, as is the compensation and the benefits program.

    Cons

The challenge is working for a German company and being micro-managed by the Germans. T-Systems is a German company operating internationally versus a global company based in Germany which makes a huge difference.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep on doing what you are doing.

    Cons

Lack of communication from Management, No career advancement opportunity, very few pay raises, lack of training

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be better at communication when things are bad. Don't lie and say everything is ok and then lay people off!!!!

    Pros

Working environment is very flexible until many staff also not really have the attitude to work

    Cons

Company are paying low and employer are not really care about the employee. Too much changes in the organization.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The midset of the Management need to be more focus on the employee as too much employee resign from this company.

I have been working at T-Systems full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Great vacation time, healthcare benefits and 401k.

    Cons

They are misleading. They over work you. Expect you to do the job of 3 people. They could care less about not having a family life. Forget about getting a proper training if you're a new employee. They ignore customer complaints until it's too late. There is a lack of leadership from management. I've seen employees leave and instead of hiring a replacement they like to tack on the responsibilities to an existing employee. The only way to move up in that company is all about who you know. Definitely not because of your hard work.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Leaving advice is a waste of time. It's not like they're really going to listen and actually turn things around. Sending out an email letting us know about lay offs in the next two years says it all.

I have been working at T-Systems full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Little overtime, decent pay, understanding on days off needed.

    Cons

No consistencies or thought out foresight on how to achieve mission goals. Everyone, particularly upper management, flies by the seat of their pants hoping they are doing the right thing, proving to not be equipped with the knowledge necessary for efficiencies.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Think before doing. Increase proactivity to decrease reactivity. Employees have lost their respect for upper management a long time ago for valid reasons. Remember, it starts at the top.

    I worked at T-Systems

    Pros

None, zilch, zippo....oh, they have a really nice office at Rockefeller Center. Who cares! Not the employees! Ya, all the US staff told no raises but you can visit our fancy office.

    Cons

Where does one begin? Want a divorce? Work at T-systems. Your work life balance will become non-existent. All work...no balance! 24/7 no matter what is going on in your life. Graduations, forget about it. Anniversary, not going to happen. Family get togethers, no way. An actual weekend to be with your spouse, family, kids mow the lawn...out of the question. The upper Management in Germany live in a constant crisis mode Corporate all want to be chiefs. The in fighting is insane. Red tape, they invented it.

The upper crust of T-systems doesn't care if you have been awake for 24to 36 hours straight they will work you to within an inch of your life.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop micromanaging. If you don't let your employees have some kind of work/life balance with their families they will simply find another company to work for.

    I worked at T-Systems

    Pros

Persuasive recruiters and generous buy out. Huge parking spaces with security. Friendly engineers.

    Cons

Too much of politics. It is not how good the engineers' performance, it is the relationship with the right person determines the promotion and performance ratings. The attrition is bad as it needs to be reviewed in the team and management meetings.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Forget it.

I worked at T-Systems full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Stable no-surprises environment. It is really dificult that you get fired, even when the whole departement is desapearing, they move everyone to another position (which may not suit them at all and makes everything quite inefficient).

    Cons

Slow, unchallenge environment. It has a kind of public sector no-moving ambiance in which everyone keeps going and you have the feeling you should better not challenge de statu quo.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Some less management and some more work should be better
