I have been working at T.Y. Lin International full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

You will work on some of the biggest and most exciting projects in the world with some of the world's most top tier consultants.

    Cons

TY Lin is not too quick to integrate cutting edge technologies or stay up to date with technology in general.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management as I have experienced it does a great job with the exception that they are not at all risk takers even when the risk is low and the return is high.

I worked at T.Y. Lin International as an intern (less than a year)

    Pros

I had my internship here. The office is not big, but everyone got to know each other well.

    Cons

Everyone is busy doing there works during the day, so it takes time for a intern to do learn the real practice stuff.

I worked at T.Y. Lin International full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Exciting and challenging work, with a good balance of both short and long term projects. Time passes quickly because the pace is extremely fast. 20 minutes after you finish your morning coffee... it's time for lunch. Friendly, helpful coworker help keep the frustration of the moment level in check.

    Cons

Unfortunately most of the fast pace is generated internally by management waiting to the last minute to make a decision or start a complex process. Little to no formal guidance exists.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Start hiring manages that know how to both lead and mentor.

I have been working at T.Y. Lin International full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Excellent access to quality expertise and assistance.

    Cons

Disjointed management, very limited opportunity for personal career advancement and growth. No apparent ties to personal performance and compensation, apparently very formula in that regard.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

See cons above, recommend greater emphasis on personal attention to employees, should strive to provide external motivation to employees to excel.

I have been working at T.Y. Lin International

    Pros

Reasons to work here: I enjoy good relationships with the people that I work with on a daily basis. I am satisfied with the work environment. I like being part of a team and I have that opportunity everyday.

    Cons

There is a deplorable lack of unity across the company. There is very little communication between the leadership of the company and its workers.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The senior management is oftentimes uninspiring to work for. Sometimes they don't seem in touch with staff.
