    I have been working at T & T supermarket part-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Best staff and coworkers I've ever come acrossed at my branch. They really look out for you and we all help each other out and contribute our efforts to minimize each other's work.
Legit pay. If you work on holiday, you get overtime pay and free meal too.
Great place for a parent to work, or a person who just need to bring in minimal income to the family. But if you're aspiring to get ahead, don't bother.

    Cons

You're a slave to this company. Working part time still means you have to come in everyday to work between 5-8 hours a day. The times are really random too, one day it's 8-5pm, the other day will be 2-10pm. And you only know your schedule for the week. It's hard to plan anything. Especially if you're new, you don't get vacay until one year mark. Be prepared to lose contact with friends.
You work 8 hours, but it's marked as 7 because they take off 1 hour for lunch/dinner break.
They can make you work 11 days straight without break and work over 40 hours without OT pay. (In their contract.)
    You have to work holidays.
It's labour intensive, I've sprained a few muscles and there's no rest to recover, or compensations.
Deal with crazy customers with impossible demands.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Feels like the HR talk with employee once a year is kinda just a face thing. Nothing ever gets changed no matther how many people voice the same concerns.
Everyone have phsyical issues, yet the medical plan isn't altered to the way of life that people endured. It doesn't make sense. Even an office job can claim orthotics, but all we get are the basics like dental. We all need massage therapy, no jokes.

    Pros

5% discount, co-workers are nice and willing to help, but people in other department are not willing to help when you need price check for customers that caused lots of troubles

    Cons

Working over hours, scan 650 products per hours otherwise you got a warning note, working on Sat and Sunday and holiday without extra pay, they told you they have full time position but they did hiring any full time in past years. I know some cashiers working there 8 years but still part time.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Company should provide some benefit for those people who working decades for T&T. The job is heavy so hiring some young and strong people to help.

    I have been working at T & T supermarket part-time (more than a year)

    Pros

You get a 10% discount for your purchases in the supermarket which is quiet a sweet deal, also there's staff meal where you get to have rice along with 2 other side dish you choose, for customers its 5.99 but for staffs its 3.25. There is also 15 min paid rest time you can have, its not alot but better than nothing.

    Cons

As a cahsier, you never know when the supermarket will suddently become busy, there has been many cases where I was in my lunch break ( suppose to be 1 hour) and 30 minuts in they will call me to come out cuz it got too busy. I perponally dont mind this bevause 30 minutes are enough for me but there are days where i am just too tired but I find it hard to refuse it when they ask me to come out...

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be repectful and salut people when you see them and they will have a good impression of you. My schedule was really flexible because I applied for full time summer and when it was during the school year I could only do weekends but they allowed me to stay anywyas because I did really well during the summer.

    Pros

The co-workers are great to work with. They are great co-workers that will help you the first day of work and more.

    Cons

    The hours suck
I worked for 2 days and i can't handle it anymore. This isn't even a part-time job (I am in the produce and my schedule is 2-11 then I am asked to work for 2-11 the next 2 days)
They don't even care about your life. You don't even have a life anymore and is not worth 10.25
