TAC got me a job, but they took the lion's share of the dough

TMDE Systems Specialist (Former Employee) San Jose, CA

ProsThe interview process with both TAC and their customer was straightforward. They reviewed my resume, forwarded to the customer's hiring manager, who gave me a phone interview and then ok'ed the hire. The hiring process was straightforward, although they wanted to take advantage of all the standard contracting gimmicks (out of town residence for tax deductions, etc.) to lower their exposure.

ConsWhile I did get a job with a defense contractor, once I got there, I found out that the client had paid more than three times what I was getting hourly for the position. I must assume that TAC just kept their mouth shut and let me hang myself. This may be good business strategy, but sets expectations for both their customer and the "talent" badly.

Advice to Senior ManagementPlease do more research on the companies that you contract for, H&R block is an awful company that profits from preying on low income people with few options.
