I worked at TCBY part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Good work environment with average pay. I worked heard while on the clock but the shifts went by swiftly and that always good

    Cons

Management wouldn't allow our store to do very many things to obtain more customers. Also, in the winter time business would drop and employee's hours would be cut.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Allow more freedom for each store to market for more customers.

    Cons

The management was very unorganized and constantly discombobulated.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    I worked at TCBY

    Pros

The hours I had were very accommodating to my life. And I liked that I got paid weekly. A very fun place work !

    Cons

I can't think of any, except sometimes we would run out of popular topping on a busy weekend... And there were quite a few young employees who would want schedule changes on the weekend, which would put a burden on the other employees

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stay firm with scheduling..... That's about all

I worked at TCBY part-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Nice customers, nice leadership, allowed time off whenever requested, pay begins as minimum wage then increases year after year, great first job

    Cons

not much opportunity for growth, you have to work pretty long hours into the night for it just being a yogurt shop, the machines are a pain to clean

I worked at TCBY part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Free ice cream while you work, great coworkers, easy job.

    Cons

TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT. I've never been more unsatisfied by an employer. When I quit, I was insulted over the phone, even though I was professional about it. My final check was shorted. I was scheduled for a total of 12 hours over the course of 3 weeks. The pay is terrible. I started at 7.25 an hour and was told pay would increase as I took on more responsibility, but I found out that the employee who has been working there the longest, (2 years) and is a college student, is only being paid 7.50 an hour and she runs the store by herself the majority of the time.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Lighten up a little.

    Former Employee - General Manager

    I worked at TCBY full-time

    Pros

Not very stressful or demanding work. However, the owner and corporation make this job difficult because they are so out of touch with the customer and the workers and managers. Also, because the profit margins are so small with frozen yogurt, they literally will try to save a penny at any cost to the employee or the customer, which also means old toppings and dirty tricks to save product.

    Cons

Low pay, no respect, no perks. Run!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to workers because they have first-hand knowledge of what the customer wants and what is difficult about the job.

I worked at TCBY full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Good place to start out. it was my first job and i slowly worked my way up to general manager.very flexible hours depending on your store its a franchise so its pretty varied on employee outlook you could get a good owner or you could get a bad owner

    Cons

Absolutely no long term value the pay is crap minimum wage for starters i worked my way up to 10.00$ and that's pretty bad for a manager i would say that is the worst part the absolute no chance for advancement in this company
