I have been working at TCF

Pros – easy to get promoted, flexible hours as the bank is open 7 days a week

Cons – even when you are promoted to the next level, the difference between the previous pay and the pay after promotion is rather minimal, for example around $3,000 a year between the branch manager position and the assistnat branch manager; have to work week-ends as the bank is open 7 days a week

Advice to Senior Management – the turnover at the branches is too high, find a way to retain your best employees - maybe higher merit-based compensation, bigger bonuses for the sales associates

Pros – It's a large bank that does a good job of providing customer service to it's customers and offers good products.

Cons – There was not a good training program and I had a teller supervisor who micro managed too much and made it hard on me.

Advice to Senior Management – I would say that more formal training programs would benefit the employees of TCT and allow the employees to serve their customers better.
