I have been working at TD Bank part-time for less than a year

    Pros

The only positive thing I have learned about this job is, how abusive this bank is towards their employees and why I no longer want to be a part of their corrupted structure.

    Cons

I am going to be as honest as possible and please read this because all the people who have left positive feedback about TD Bank are either delusional or have been completely programmed by the bank with false promises. Tellers do not last long in this bank. They either quit or are terminated after a while for any little excuse and are replaced with new tellers. The bank will hire you as a part time teller, and will provide you with a full time schedule and pay you as a part timer. They use this tactic in order to avoid paying you the correct full time wage. Calling in sick will or getting in late for any types of emergency will only get you warnings (except managers, or anyone in their inner circle) and will later be used against you if you ever want to ascend positions. The funny thing is they have you work for roles you were not hired for, such as head teller, FSR or CSR and use the warnings they have against you in order to avoid paying you the correct wage. For example lets say you are hired as a part time teller, and you want them to ascend you to a full time CSR (even though you are already working the hours and duties of an CSR) they will use past warnings against you in order to avoid changing your role from their system, thus affecting a wage increase. You are also not allowed to sit and are suppose to stand all day, while managers sit in their offices with their air conditioners. If you ever decide to lean on the teller counter because of back or leg cramps, managers will stand from their chairs, step out their office, and harass you telling you to stand up right.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

My advice to management is pay your employees right and treat them with respect. Don't treat them like a number. I guess it's cheaper to hire part time teller, pay them 11$ and hours with a full time schedule and with duties of a CSR, FSR and head teller. Nice way to save some money eh! Your greedyness will only get you honest reviews like mines. Also allow tellers to sit, they are not machines!

I worked at TD Bank full-time for less than a year

    Pros

The company has no pros. They were suppose to allow me to work remotely and they really did not ask any questions during the job interview.

    Cons

I was told that the job would take 6 months to learn. They fired me after only 1 month.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop hiring and firing people so quickly before they learn the job!

I worked at TD Bank part-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

If you work 20+ hours you get health, dental, vision, tuition reimbursement, and 401(k)
Certain stores have a more carefree attitude
Opportunity for some pretty hefty bonuses
TD has a great culture supporting inclusiveness and diversity
Awesome support for the LGBTQ community

    Cons

Hours are all over the place and schedules were not made in a timely manner
Store can be a "No Fun Zone" depending upon management
Opportunity for advancement is based solely on which store you end up in
    PTO policy is ridiculous

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Recognize opportunities for your employees and don't put off advancing them until staffing is better. It will never get better and you'll just end up holding talented people back.

Former Employee - Financial Services Representative in Boston, MA

I worked at TD Bank full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    - Semi-flexible schedule: you work weekends so you get days off during the week
    - Base pay was pretty good
    - Opportunity to network within the company

    Cons

    - Focus on sales, especially for the Financial Services Representative position
    - Same as above, you will work until 8 sometimes and on weekends, so sometimes work-life balance can seem non-existent
    - high turnover
    - for the amount of sales pressure, the bonus was TINY!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Look at the turnover at some of your stores - the stores with the highest probably have some big problems since the company itself isn't horrible.
