Poor management; can keep people; keep firing people

SAS Developer (Former Employee) Braintree, MA

ProsThe company has no pros. They were suppose to allow me to work remotely and they really did not ask any questions during the job interview.

ConsI was told that the job would take 6 months to learn. They fired me after only 1 month.

Advice to Senior ManagementStop hiring and firing people so quickly before they learn the job!

Great benefits for part-timers, room for advancement is variable

Teller I (Former Employee) Boston, MA

ProsIf you work 20+ hours you get health, dental, vision, tuition reimbursement, and 401(k)
Certain stores have a more carefree attitude
Opportunity for some pretty hefty bonuses
TD has a great culture supporting inclusiveness and diversity
Awesome support for the LGBTQ community

ConsHours are all over the place and schedules were not made in a timely manner
Store can be a "No Fun Zone" depending upon management
Opportunity for advancement is based solely on which store you end up in
    PTO policy is ridiculous

Advice to Senior ManagementRecognize opportunities for your employees and don't put off advancing them until staffing is better. It will never get better and you'll just end up holding talented people back.

If you like sales, work here - but don't expect big bonuses.

Financial Services Representative (Former Employee) Boston, MA

Pros- Semi-flexible schedule: you work weekends so you get days off during the week
    - Base pay was pretty good
    - Opportunity to network within the company

Cons- Focus on sales, especially for the Financial Services Representative position
    - Same as above, you will work until 8 sometimes and on weekends, so sometimes work-life balance can seem non-existent
    - high turnover
    - for the amount of sales pressure, the bonus was TINY!

Advice to Senior ManagementLook at the turnover at some of your stores - the stores with the highest probably have some big problems since the company itself isn't horrible.

A place that really cares about its business and employees equally!!

Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) Boston, MA

Prossmall banks so everything flows smoothly. The mission is amazing and they promote within. They are for their employees and make sure appreciation is always given. I always felt supported and needed. my manager and coworkers work together to make sure everyone felt confident. the perks are great and i love the neighboring stores support on a daily basis.

ConsSome stores do not have on site parking so it is hard to get business at times. trainings are limited as far as areas. need some in the boston area.

Advice to Senior ManagementKeep up the good work.
