    Pros

very good benefits!!! Not a bad commute. Not really much than that. Good entry level position.

    Cons

Zero structured training. Management doesn't know the difference between an Ira and annuity. Management at the store level is combative and argumentative. For the most part management is useless

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Review store management. The organization has grown there product offerings. For the most part the management team is oblivious to the new offerings.
Simplify the comp plan no one knows when or what there bonus is going to be. Don't call it a quarterly bonus, when you pay it two months after the quarter ends. Your growing and earning money by delaying payment. Don't say you care!!! when you make your employees wait an unreasonable amount of time to get there hard earned money.

    Chaotic experience at TD bank

I worked at TD Bank Financial Group

    Pros

Use it as a stepping stone to gain some experience. You do get good benefits as well.

    Cons

Both branches In which I worked were understaffed and assistant managers were schemers. Don't get on anyone's bad side or they will look for reasons to fire you. Revolving door of employees and long hours. The training is also lacking. Work life balance sucks.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't open more new branches if you can't properly staff the existing ones. Select better branch management.

I have been working at TD Bank Financial Group as a contractor for less than a year

    Pros

Senior Management encourage growth and to establish relationships.

    Cons

Due to the merger of small banks, employees have been put in positions in which they are lacking the qualification of the job. Contractors are misdirected and dispensable by middle management.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

When highly qualified contractors are hired to full fill a task that is very valuable to management, let them communicate directly to management. Some employees at TD Bank use contractors to prop up their position and will make sure that the contractor is dismissed.

I worked at TD Bank Financial Group

    Pros

Very good with flex place, flex time etc. for a balanced work-home life balance. Very all-encompassing for LGBT, special-assistance etc. Very supportive for personal needs.

    Cons

Big company. Need to keep yourself updated if you want to keep ahead. With a sometimes fast changing upper management layer you can get lost if trying to push up internally (although you do get to the front-of-the-queue when applying internally for a new position)

I worked at TD Bank Financial Group full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great corporate culture, lot of internal opportunities, good benefit plan.

    Cons

Shift schedule, so you work days/ night rotation, straggling with jet lags constantly.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Managers have to come up with idea on how to motivate employees to be more interested, productive and active at work place.

    Worst job of my career

    Former Employee - Anonymous Employee
    Former Employee - Anonymous Employee

I worked at TD Bank Financial Group

    Pros

    Looks good on a resume

    Cons

No leadership in my department, 2 managers were told to fight amongst themselves to fill a leadership role, no support or guidance given what so ever. When a new leader came on site, there were several dismissals only to have those positions filled by others to whom owed loyalty to the new leadership

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Change the leadership in Corporate security before someone gets hurt

I have been working at TD Bank Financial Group full-time for more than a year

    Pros

hours are fine. Work life balance is fine.

    Cons

Overtime is limited (legally, since there is a limit on the number of consecutive hrs one can work per day). Co-workers are mainly unsavoury high school grads. Team managers are pushy about sales targets, though they sugar-coat this as "advice." Measurement of customer service is obscure; sufficed to say that it is highly difficult to score perfectly on customer service criteria.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Perks are almost non-existent.
