    Pros

Highly inclusive culture, strong focus on Customer and employee experiences, welcomes dialogue and challenging questions (in the "right" forum)

    Cons

Going through some expected growing pains as we figure out how to become a big bank in the US.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Dont forget that unless you invest in better technology infrastructure there will be a point where asking people for more will become like squeezing blood from a stone.

    Pros

very good benefits!!! Not a bad commute. Not really much than that. Good entry level position.

    Cons

Zero structured training. Management doesn't know the difference between an Ira and annuity. Management at the store level is combative and argumentative. For the most part management is useless

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Review store management. The organization has grown there product offerings. For the most part the management team is oblivious to the new offerings.
Simplify the comp plan no one knows when or what there bonus is going to be. Don't call it a quarterly bonus, when you pay it two months after the quarter ends. Your growing and earning money by delaying payment. Don't say you care!!! when you make your employees wait an unreasonable amount of time to get there hard earned money.

I worked at TD Bank Financial Group

    Pros

Use it as a stepping stone to gain some experience. You do get good benefits as well.

    Cons

Both branches In which I worked were understaffed and assistant managers were schemers. Don't get on anyone's bad side or they will look for reasons to fire you. Revolving door of employees and long hours. The training is also lacking. Work life balance sucks.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't open more new branches if you can't properly staff the existing ones. Select better branch management.

I have been working at TD Bank Financial Group as a contractor (less than an year)

    Pros

Senior Management encourage growth and to establish relationships.

    Cons

Due to the merger of small banks, employees have been put in positions in which they are lacking the qualification of the job. Contractors are misdirected and dispensable by middle management.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

When highly qualified contractors are hired to full fill a task that is very valuable to management, let them communicate directly to management. Some employees at TD Bank use contractors to prop up their position and will make sure that the contractor is dismissed.
