    Pros

401k, PTO... (However it's hard to schedule off to actually use it.)

    Cons

Quarterly incentive is laughable. Never know what's going to change when you go into work. Or if you're even going to be in the same building.. And they'll demote your entire department, cap your salary since they can't take pay away. Then wonder why no one talks to the customers like they give a crap

    Advice to Management

The employees are the ones who deal directly with customers. Before making huge changes, you should consult the customer facing employees and at least obtain their opinion on how this will affect customers/their job. Also, a happy employee makes for a happy customer. $200 a quarter as a bonus for bringing in HUNDREDS of thousands of dollars in loans.. that's insulting. Why bother?

    Pros

Beautiful Building inside that's about it.

    Cons

If you work hard and miss a break, they don't allow you to make it up when on a call and stuck. Example. 30 minute lunch, get stuck on call for 20 minutes means you only get a 10 min break, not full 30 minutes. No trash cans upstairs but in bathroom. Worse place ever worked.

    Advice to Management

    Stop being greedy......and micromanaging.....

    Pros

Pay is a good amount especially if you a had a few year of experience in thee banking field. Team oriented. Nice locations. Quarterly bonuses.

    Cons

Must hit sales referrals, they give you some time in the beginning to learn the ropes but after 4 months you are expected to reach them. No set schedule and closing hours can be a pain especially if you have small children.

    Advice to Management

While we are the most convenient bank, we should be a little more convenient to the families that are the wheels of your organization by closing at 6 pm hour also having a set schedule would be nice.

    Pros

many depts, branches, locations Competitive salaries Some good mgmt that can impart wisdom

    Cons

Worst HR dept ever - apply for a position, never hear anything back Canadian mgmt is cut throat, utilitarian, ruthless, brutal, no collaboration or cooperation - it's kill or be killed, no human element acknowledged

    Advice to Management

People are more than numbers & not machines Teams should work together not pit team members against each other Don't just act nice, be decent

    Pros

WOW! Awards is reminiscent of a concert and allows employees to get to know others around the region Over Time can be earned in another department if cross trained properly HR department that genuinely tries to assist in career development

    Cons

Poor training practices An air of unprofessional-ism Upper management constantly looking for scapegoats Excessive gridlock for common sense practices to be implemented Upper management fails to prompt and sometimes discourages career development Pay disparity between male and female employees

    Advice to Management

Do not empower an employee who may be a good worker but is a horrible manager to a management position. Do not apply a separate set of rules and guidelines to one group of employees

    Pros

Beautiful building Nice Coworkers and Bosses You learn more about finances Flexible Scheduling Sometime you feel like you really are helping people Lots of rewards and support when you improve or do well

    Cons

The job can sometimes feel monotonous Sometimes managers don't get back to you when you email them (multiple times) Getting time off can be complicated

    Advice to Management

Please speak to general managers about responding to emails, because sometimes when I contact them about something important (dealing with work matters) they don't respond (at all), but when I email them to congratulate them (they respond within a couple of hours).
