I have been working at TD Bank full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Strong Bank to work for. Good benifits. Reasonable work - life balance. Management genuinely seems to care about employees well being and opinions. If you care for Finance the work is fufilling. Great colleagues and Team Management. Working hard and putting effort in will be recognised by both Management and Peers. No being voluntold for overtime.

    Cons

TD doesnt do anything poorly, so there are no Hard Cons. Management can be slow to react to increase work flows and lack solutions or flexiblity to relieve employees when these situations are obviously coming.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep up the good work - dont rest on your laurels.

I have been working at TD Bank full-time for more than a year

    Pros

The benefits are competitive. The training is amazing and the company fosters continuous learning.
Client interactions are often rewarding. Overall, TD hires excellent employees, who represent the culture of "comfortable banking" and the goal of being "the better bank". Great sense of a united team all serving the same objective. At the end of the day this position is a sales role, but what isn't?
If you want to do well, excel in sales and customer satisfaction. The sky is the limit in terms of growth opportunities. This is the perfect introduction to a career in retail banking.

    Cons

The wages are low and the stress levels can be high. The position is entry level, despite the comparatively high responsibility; sometimes clients will be condescending. The hours are great... for the clients! Think about it.. when is your TD branch not open? Well, those are your hours.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Organization is very tall, your manager's manager's manager still does not really seem to have the ability to make much of a difference in the company. This is understandable given it is such a large company, with centralized operations (Toronto).

I have been working at TD Bank part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Strong support system for employee growth
Well structured and supported training program
    Positive culture promoting motivation

    Cons

Salary is not as competitive as other banks in the industry
More support for part time employees should be given for range of hours
Lack of a free basic Dental plan

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Increase salary review frequencies
Continue to operate with an open door culture for discussion
Grade employees at CSR level not only on sales figures, but overall competence and preparedness for next level opportunities.

    Pros

The corporate culture of TD Canada Trust is very friendly and down-to-earth, unlike the stereotypical financial institution image that many have. The employees are generally very helpful and treat each other like family. The training TD Bank provides is top-tier, really prepares you well for the position you are hired for

    Cons

LIke iin any field and industry, the corporate politics are complex and sometimes a burden.
