Pros
Td is always striving to make their staff more comfortable and keep them happy in the workplace. They also take time and effort when dealing with issues.
Cons
They are a great bank but sometimes they lack in how fast they respond to problems. This could be improved.
Advice to Senior Management
I feel like your doing a great job but maybe listen more to the staff and get feedback more often.
Pros
good atmosphere to work with other worker
Cons
too busy to handle all the customers
Advice to Senior Management
wish have more clark to have seving clients
Pros
Great opportunity to learn about businessess in different sectors.
Cons
IN the end it comes down to the people. Many are great but it takes only one or two, especially if they are in management positions, to stifle your situation. This has more to do with individuals rather than the institution, itself.
Advice to Senior Management
Training the trainer or mentor would be a good idea. Methods in training in the workplace are missing.
Pros
There are opportunities for career developments, good management, and good benefits as well. Generally the resource at TD (ex: back office support) is quite developed, which helps a lot in terms of work efficiency.
Cons
Seems like the salary is not very competitive compare to the other big 4 banks. Sometimes the management ignore to their staff's feedback - which i guess it happens in all corporations.
Advice to Senior Management
Please try listen to your employee's feedback!
Pros
good culture and atmosphere. The employees all get along and the benefits are decent. they provide good opportunities for advancement with decent training. one of the strongest banks in Canada, if not the strongest out of all of the big 5 banks. Their stock is at a good price, which is good to invest in the employees saving plan where they match the first portion and up to a percentage of your salary
Cons
Management issues, double standard communicated to everyone, inconsistent at times. long hours are sometimes hard to work around with personal life, although you have some flexibility with advance notice
Advice to Senior Management
listen to your employees
Pros
It is a large bank, so there is always the ability to move to another branch or department. The people you work with, at my branch are fun and help make the job seem less like a job. The computer systems and programs are fairly advanced and help dramatically with day to day transactions. The hours are great, 8 to late.
Cons
TD is very customer focused and tends to be a little less employee focused. They'd go an extra mile for a customer, but hesitate to go an extra foot for an employee. The branch manager at times is out to lunch, and can hold the branch back in sales as wells as basic customer service.
Advice to Senior Management
Definately need to spend more time focusing on your employees
