TD Commerce Bank is a well-managed company where positive, hard-working people are acknowledged and appreciated.

Store Manager (Current Employee) New York, NY

ProsThis company is very focused on creating the best service based business possible. There is a "No Jerk" policy within the company. There is an emphasis on hiring nice people who can be trained on specific skills, but who already have a talent and personality for helping people. It feels good to work for a company like this when so many customers become fans of what we are doing both in the store and the community at large. Positive word of mouth is the best and most effective advertising!
Also, if you work hard and learn fast you will be recognized and can move up within the company as it is still expanding.

ConsHaving a flexible schedule is extremely important, which means some last minute schedule changes, including early morning and late evening shifts. Not enough compensation at Teller and CSR positions to encourage top performers.

Advice to Senior ManagementKeep emphasizing superior customer service at all costs. Continue to invest in training and development, but offer performance bonuses for top performers in all job descriptions. Keep decision-making local as much as possible.

    Rewarding but stunted

Assistant Store Manager (Former Employee) Chatham, NJ

ProsJob security, great staff, good bosses, improving IT and organizational enhancements

ConsLimited mobility into certain areas, unreal expectations within a 40 hour work week, little input taken from field employees for audit and procedural improvement via TQM.

Advice to Senior ManagementListen to the people on the front lines. They know how it is. When looking to improve operations, don't cut corners and listen to your customers.

Learn a lot but doesnt pay as good as I would like

TD Bank Call Center Representative (Current Employee) Mount Laurel, NJ

ProsGreat training for young professionals or recent college graduates looking to build up their resume, learn a lot in a very fast paced and at times hectic environment, management is very friendly and approachable.

ConsThe pay isnt that great especially for recent college graduates, and likely will end up losing a ton of good employees when the economy improves and jobs with better compensation pop up.

Advice to Senior ManagementBasically just improve the pay scale for the employees, or see many high quality employees leave for greener pastures once the economy turns around.

    Not Bad

    Teller (Current Employee) Eatontown, NJ

ProsThe job is great depending on the people you work with but other than that, it keeps you busy and its simple work

ConsNot very organized, especially for a bank. Management is very sloppy and responsibility is tossed around a bit too much

Advice to Senior ManagementManagement could definitely use some work but other than that its a great job and the pay is fantastic. looks great on your resume FOR SURE
