Pros
Constantly changing
Advancement opportunities
Challenging
Career opportunities
Schooling reimbursement
Excellent 401k
Medical, dental, flex spending, 401k, vacation, PTO, Commuter benefits, Weight/workout gym, full service cafe', lots of employee perks.
Cons
A lot of pressure to accomplish tasks and or projects. With more successful people in the right roles the company could do wonderful things!! A lot of times there is a lack of resources.
Advice to Senior Management
I strongly believe management is doing a great job. When I get up and look forward to going to my job I know that this is a great thing. I feel that if we had more people in the right roles helping to accomplish great things that we could be unstoppable. This is the first job I have ever had where I have been challenged and pushed to my maximum potential. This challenge has taught me to be a hard worker and stronger person.
Pros
The day moves very fast
Cons
There is not enough people to be successful with all the incoming projects
Pros
Pay is similar to other tech companies.
Cons
Directors and executive management have no focus on customers, products, or real work being done...they only care about profit and how it affects their bonus. At terrible, paranoid environment for all, especially the technical staff.
Advice to Senior Management
Resign before you drive the company into the ground by increasingly alienating customers and shutting down any significant innovation.
Pros
Gives an oppurtunity to run the Business in Full Control as support functions are part of Business
Cons
It is a One product Comapny and has its challenges as compared to multiproduct and Business Companies
Pros
Some good functional managers, some very sharp workers.
Cons
Sr. Management is horrible beyond words. In 2011 about 50 people quit, and another 50+ were laid off. I worked there when a respected and competent Project Manager left a Sr. Manager's office after a two hour "coaching" session in tears, and watched her sob in her cube for the rest of the day. He still works there. She quit.

Advice to Senior Management
Figure out some "SMART" goals on making TE a Great Place To Work. Then do those things.
Pros
Good oppertunities for career development. Training programmes suited to job/career plan. Managment are fair. Communication is widely available.
Cons
non really, Sometimes too much emphasis on certain subject areas of managment style/polices. But more time consuming than anything.
Pros
Senior leadership after the spin off from Tyco changed the atmosphere for the better. They have challenged employees to be better.
Cons
We are still re-inventing ourselves. In such a large complex company (100k employees world-wide) we don't do anything very fast.
Advice to Senior Management
Hire more young people. Our employee population is closer to retirement, we need more people closer to graduation if we expect to retain the wealth of knowledge we've amassed.
Pros
Large corporation with a small personal feel to it, that is able to provide a comfortable work environment where you are able to continuously learn and challenge yourself.
Cons
With a larger corporation comes the common levels of control that can make it hard to accomplish even little tasks at times.
Advice to Senior Management
Work to instill a culture where it is the norm to work hard, push your limits and experiment with new processes and technology.
Pros
Flexibility as worked out of my home office at a remote location.
Cons
Hi tech where many jobs have been transitioning in this industry to Asia. (Not just TE but hi tech in general does not result in job security for US personnel.
Advice to Senior Management
TE is not cost competitive in many areas of 'Consumer Electronics'. Part of the reason is the remaining US manufacturing footprint. While this is a competitive trade off, I commend TE for not totally jumping ship to 100% Asia design & manufacturing.
Pros
Building products that support the medical field.
Cons
Very toxic atmosphere, all areas within the company are dissatisfied and looking for other employment
