Former Employee – worked at TE Connectivity full-time for more than 8 years
Pros – TE offers competitive benefits and a (mostly) casual work environment. Depending on the position, you may be able to negotiate a specific starting time for the workday. The company's size means that technology is always being updated, so it presents a good opportunity to learn new skills.
Cons – The business units and departments generally work very poorly with others. There is a bunker mentality in some of the groups that I had to deal with. Not every group was like this, but the ones that were made life more difficult. IT positions also require on-call support. Majority of jobs in the US are in Harrisburg, PA.
Advice to Senior Management – My advice to upper management is to examine the way various groups interact with each other. One way to do this is to analyze the projects that require collaboration across groups and see which projects are not progressing. Sit in on meetings about these projects.

Pros – 1. Solid benefits (superb 401k)
2. Core products highly regarded (design, quality, service, etc.) by customers
3. Most employees highly competent, battle tested, and solid
4. Overall compensation very good
5. Global giant
Cons – 1. Manage for the short-term
2. Frequent re-organization
3. Career growth opportunities very minimal for insiders
4. Poor overall morale due to frequent down-sizing and managing for the short-term
Advice to Senior Management – 1. Stabilize...minimize re-organization rate

Former Employee – worked at TE Connectivity full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – interesting technical projects, lots of knowledge and company background in processing of thermoplastic polymers
Cons – Particularly some of the intermediate & mid level management staff possess very poor management skills & micro managers who seriously need training... Many employees ranging from technicians to mid level managers feel that they are very "under-appreciated" by upper management. Several employees also think that HR is not doing a good job in terms of ensuring fair protection of employee rights. Many uncertainties in future stability of the company are also proven by lots of lay offs & furlough days in manufacturing units.
Advice to Senior Management – Mid level management & some directors need serious improvements in Social & Emotional intelligence
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

Former Employee – worked at TE Connectivity full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – Actively striving to provide more processing, tracking, and validation detail.
Cons – Demanded tasks be completed correctly without proper training. Rejected multi-engineer product signoffs, causing delays due to unknown requirements. Expected task processing without qualified people to execute tasks. If there were no people to execute tasks, YOU were responsible for the results, even if YOU were not trained. All this results in a no-win situation.
Advice to Senior Management – Revise expectations to mirror what is possible with what is provided. Engineers cannot meet expectations in this type of environment.
