Pros
Good number of Client Base
Cons
Poor Benefits and Poor support to Career Growth
Advice to Senior Management
Offer Best Service to consultants as they are your bread winners
Pros
Pay is always on time.Good gateway to getting a position at a company.
Cons
Rarely see managers at worksite.
Pros
Recruiters continue communications with contractors well after the placement process. This includes monthly feedback on your performance (your recruiter or account manager will meet regularly with your supervisor) and support if things are not going well. Recruiters are easy to get ahold of and show genuine concern for contractors and their satisfaction in their jobs.
Cons
Poor insurance options and COBRA plan is diffucult to navigate.
Pros
Good compensation package, A great network between several offices across the country, Recruiters and account managers are very respectful and professional, A good professional growth prospects.
Cons
Company need to balance the tech and application job market.
Advice to Senior Management
Management should concentrate on training the recruitment team with some more technical knowledge and give them brief knowledge of the various technologies available in the market.
Pros
Regular paychecks; you get left alone to be managed by the contracting customer; little to no interaction with your representative - some may see this as a benefit.
Cons
Lack of support. Lack of career growth. When the contract is up, you're gone, and Tek Systems just doesn't seem to do much to help you find that next project - at least from what I've seen first hand.
Advice to Senior Management
The contracting customer treat us like prostitutes - our mother company should strive to treat us better. Schedule at least biannual meetings where we can discuss things like additional opportunitites, customer feedback, whatever.
Pros
Big company with connections to many clients. Networking with clients and consultants is one of their key benefits. Networking to recruit potential consultants is their strong point.
Cons
The TEKsystems management team lacks strategic vision for the company. Communication throughout the entire management structure is all but nonexistent. Employees/consultants really don't know what's going on with the company.
Pros
Was able to maintain a job through most of the reccesion. Weekly pay and basic benefits.
Cons
Poor benefits, poor time off. Hard to get time off without management making issues or vague threats about employment. Little to no chance for pay increase, did not match 401k contributions and all around treated employee's as disposable.
Advice to Senior Management
Find a better company with more competent leadership that will take care of and respect employees and provide them with decent benefits. A happy employee is a long term employee
Pros
Weekly pay, offer 401k and VSP (vision services), dental insurance is very nice as well. It is also nice to have life insurance available.
Cons
Little to no contact from Teksystems when in long term assignment. Health insurance covers very little. It often takes several calls/emails to get issues resolved.
Advice to Senior Management
While you have obligations to make sure your customers are happy with the people you provide to them, please don't forget the contractors are your responsibility as well. An occassional call or card just to say you haven't forgotten them goes a long way.
Pros
Initial pay rate for a W2 contractor is reasonable to competitive.
Cons
Negotiating for annual pay increase is a challenge.
Pros
Career advancement
Recognition
Potential to make good income over a period of time
Cons
work life balance
working during vacation
Micromanagement
Advice to Senior Management
Lots of turnover
