I worked at TEKsystems full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Good quality account management from this office. Account managers have good relationships with clients, and keep in touch with what is happening. This provided a level of protection that I did not find in work for a couple of other agencies.

    A pretty good culture.

    Cons

There's no 401K match, no paid vacation.

I have been working at TEKsystems full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Lots of training and exposure to recruiting. Really great first job out of college if you want to do sales. Great base pay plus commission.

    Cons

Commission can drop very easily. Lots of high volume cold calling. Everyone there wants to get into sales and not recruiting careers. Really long hours. Expect to work 60 hours a week.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire a more diverse set of people. The only people I work with party downtown every weekend, drink, and go to sporting events. Not much variety in the people there.

I have been working at TEKsystems as a contractor (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Able to find work quickly, competitive rate

    Cons

Your experience with company depends solely on the recruiter you work with, and many of them are flaky. Health benefits are average. PTO is taken out of hourly rate

I have been working at TEKsystems full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

You're welcomed with open arms from Day 1 and treated like family. Your coworkers care about your goals and your success, and provide feedback to help you improve. It's a base+commission comp structure with uncapped commission and huge bonus potential (you wouldn't believe the amount of 25 year olds making 6 figures here!). The incentive trip to Cancun every year makes you never want to miss your sales goal again (almost more than the bonus does). There's opportunities to move all over the country and even internationally now. We celebrate... a lot... for both professional and personal accomplishments. There's something to be said about being #1 in the industry. This is a company that you can be successful in within the first 2 years and see dramatic growth... it's also the company you can retire with (and at a relatively young age).

    Cons

You get what you put into it, so if you're not ready to work hard this is not the place to you. It's a grind it out job. You will work 50+ hours a week and very few people work a consistent 8-5:30. There are aspects of your job that are out of your control that can make some days very frustrating.
