    Pros

Valuable work experience. not much else to say here.

    Cons

Rookies, unprofessional, lack of communication and the essential tech tools to complete job hired on for. Job duties changed to something entirely different during the last few months of project and were never communicated before accepting position.

    Advice to Management

Communication, communication, communication, was made to wait 2-3 weeks for the job to start when could have persued something else to get the bills paid.

    Pros

    Weekly pay and optional benefits

Rates are usually lower than market

    Advice to Management

Conduct your own interviews. Teksystems specializes in sourcing not technical qualifications.

    Pros

The company itself isn't too bad. They offered an affordable health care plan. you also get paid weekly.

    Cons

Just make sure you get a recruiter that checks in on you now and then. At first they are like flys on poo, but once you land the job trying to get a response about anything takes forever

    Advice to Management

Have more people that care about the contractors. They are the ones working making you money. I also felt lied to, and that was unacceptable.

    Pros

Great culture, filled with people that care not only about your professional growth, but your personal as well. The company offerings have also matured.

    Cons

In the Bay Area, the turnover is not surpisingly high. Challenge is retaining people that are so highly sought after by "sexy" companies. Management sometimes to quick to promote inexperienced people.

  8. Pro Tip- Get great at staffing again before you try taking on the big boys in the IT services industry....

    Pros

TEK has some of the best training in to offer for a career in staffing, HR, Talent Acquisition and B2B sales. You have access to several enterprise clients and have history and workforce to back up what you are selling (most of the time). You can make an extremely good living here and depending on your client/candidate focus, the opportunity has no ceiling.

    Cons

To be fair, this may change from office to office:

    - Hours are stone age for today's workforce. No work from home unless you're a working mother who has made them considerable amounts of money.
    - All of the internal politics and meetings get very redundant.
    - If you are not "in" with the right people (office leaders) you will be asked to squeeze blood from a stone with your accounts/skillets.
    - Their "Services" practice is a complete joke. It appears to many that one day they realized that IBM, TCS, Accenture and other integrators were making 10x what TEK was at the same clients but in a different capacity. So they did what most staffing companies do best and bought an "offshore" center in India and Canada. Talk to anyone who came to TEK from the pro services industry and they will tell you its a complete sham. Nothing but staffing with a bow around it.
    - TEK has realized that Insight Global and other companies are using "up and coming" young women to sell to clients and its working but this is two fold. IG has a MUCH better delivery team then TEK. People are being promoted at a rapid pace to get more "feet on the street".

    Advice to Management

You used to be the best and while you sat and got rich for 10 years other companies got smarter and hit you where it hurts the most, with outside the box thinking. TEK is the biggest ship in the staffing sea but is being out navigated by smaller, smarter and more flexible competitors. Their large competitors are finding out ways to undercut TEK and pick up business that TEK left behind (ex. End User Support, Infrastructure). Quit trying to turn into a one stop shop for all things tech staffing. You are not an ERP integrator, you have no offshore presence worth mentioning and your 24 year old Account Managers will never convince IT executives to trust them. TEK will always grow and always be a player but what they wont tell you is that the last 2 years their revenues have remained stagnant and if not for a few national accounts, is on the edge of going backwards. The boiler room/military mindset will not work with millennials and you will continue to be a farm system for real companies until you address this. ALSO, just because somebody blows up an account in BFE doesnt mean they are equip to run an "A" market office.

This will fall on deaf ears to TEK's leaders of course because its the best and only place to be "successful".

    Pros

Good environment and the opportunity to help people find new jobs/careers

    Cons

Ridiculous work hours. Base pay is very low and the commission structure is laughable. Not a fan of the "drink the koolaide" environment. Benefits are a joke.

    Pros

Weekly pay, good people, fair hourly rate. You can trust the people. Account Manager or Resource Manage are available to address issues or concerns.

    Cons

Benefits such as health plans are expensive. Also, company should create or develop a plan to offer PTO to their employess thar are in the field.

    Advice to Management

The company is solid but it needs to take care of their people, offering additional benefits, such as an accessible health plan and PTO
