Pros
interesting, complex work. good people
Cons
TELUS is a busy environment. Good industry but downside is it is busy and you must take ownership for managing your workload.
Pros
Competitive benefits and incentives
new workstyles - flexible and great work life balance
encourages and nurtures highly creative and aspiring performers
Cons
internal process improvements are slow
too much collaboration required for decisions
Pros
Very good compensation considering no degree required and can get in at a young age. Great benefits regardless of position so long as you're full time.
Cons
Poor management depending on the department. Most managers are not qualified and are promoted based on favoritism. Some great directors and some that are just terrible. Poor shift times and hard to get good shifts without many years experience.
Advice to Senior Management
Students or those with degrees should be offered or shown better direction for opportunities once they have obtained their degree. Some management are in place based solely off of favoritism and many hard workers and those with management qualities are overlooked and stuck moving nowhere.
Pros
challenging projects, met lots of interesting people, good use of work related activities to help apply knowledge, exposure to many fields
Cons
teams are very separated, have to go with the flow of many other teams, lack of recognition for work from superiors
Advice to Senior Management
recognize work more often, build structures to facilitate team building and ability to work with each other's schedules, and reward hard work
Pros
Work life balance is very good.
Cons
Growth is slow for high performance people.
Advice to Senior Management
More performance based recognition
Pros
Good culture, good benefits and perks, good work life balance
Cons
Internal move might not be that easy
Pros
Great benefits! Fast paced always changing roles! I really enjoyed the employees and team spirit. Very active in the community.
Cons
MIddle management not as skilled as upper management in employee engagement. Poor communication creates an environment of distrust between frontline and managers. Sometimes the changes implemented seem to be for the sake of change only.
Pros
One of the better paying employers in the Vancouver area
Cons
Little respect for workers from executives and senior management.
Pros
Relaxed environment, flexible work environment
Cons
No drive; too much administration work to get things down
Advice to Senior Management
cut the administration stuff out of getting stuff done
Pros
- workstyle flexibility
- Great work environment
- Respects its employees equally
- Better than market compensation
- Their fresh Grad program is by far the best way to join a company
Cons
- Lack of motivation to work from office
- Not enough social events
- Can't bank your unused holidays

Advice to Senior Management
Promote working on Fridays. Like keep free friday lunches or snack so employees are less likely to take fridays off or work from home. Will improve productivity.
