Met a lot of great people. Compensation seemed generous.

    Pros

Great hours, excellent people, excellent benefits, opportunity to work on various projects

    Cons

Some managers were poor, inexperienced or let their egos get in the way of making quality games. Lots of money spent on opportunities that were never fully realized resulted in cancelling high profile, big budget titles.

    Pros

Great ideas on how to push established game genres forward, with a "think big or go home" mentality. They allowed the studios to really own projects and bring out the best of what they could offer.

    Cons

Usually entered markets a year too late to make a difference. The excessive crunching to meet deadlines made the products suffer.

    Pros

Unfortunately this company is no longer in business. I worked for one of their many design houses and we are one of the few left standing. THQ paid well and the benefits were solid. We also got bonus about every 6 months.

    Cons

They were slow to respond to developer needs. quality level suffered due to low level of expectation. Upper management was a Little disconnected

    Advice to Management

    They are all gone now
