I worked at THQ full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great ideas on how to push established game genres forward, with a "think big or go home" mentality. They allowed the studios to really own projects and bring out the best of what they could offer.

    Cons

Usually entered markets a year too late to make a difference. The excessive crunching to meet deadlines made the products suffer.

    I worked at THQ full-time

    Pros

The people I worked with were insanely passionate, very talented about making games and a great group of individuals

    Cons

The structure of the studio was in flux and no one knew who was responsible for what which led to a great deal of confusion and frustration.

    Advice to Management

    Learn to trust your team
