    Pros

    Still some of the best products by far in integration, event processing and analytics. A few good men still remain, and they can bring this back

    Cons

    Horrible management. Foul mouth sales, useless marketing, engineering has no direction as executives brown nosing in front of Vista . Vista given so much bull, they believe these nincompoops. One so-called executive walked away with $20 million for working a grand total of 90 days There ought to be some checks and these looters need to go to the slammer for the day light robbery

    Advice to Management

    Fire yourself. Throw away glitzy presentations that do not mean anything, have real content and direction Focus on your goddamn jobs! Surely there is something more satisfying and morally right thing than fighting for the next $500K retention bonus Sympathies with Vista, you are encountering a a bunch of thieving execs

    Pros

    Once upon a time Spotfire was a great product. Once upon a time there were great people to work with.

    Cons

    Spotfire has nearly become irrelevant in the market place. More companies and people have never even heard of Spotfire. The management of this company is seriously the worst I have ever seen. It's almost like they have tried to kill this company on purpose. The decisions they have made are so bad that I have to ask myself how anyone could lead a company down a dead end path, as they have done, with out knowing what you are doing was just stupid?

    Advice to Management

    Advice to Vista Equity Partners (The new owners of Tibco Spotfire). You need to simply fire the senior management at Spotfire. If you look at what Spotfire once was and then look at it now, you should be able to see that the people who are still in place and running Spotfire are just really really bad at doing their job. They have killed an entire company! Why do they still have jobs? Why? Why? Why? Fire the senior Spotfire management!!!

    I have been working at TIBCO Software full-time

    Pros

    Lots of great non-exec employees, middle managers. Benefits are great. On site cafe has great food at a reasonable price.

    Cons

    Nepotism, favoritism, whatever you want to call it..is rampant. It's not about the quality of your work or skills, it's who you know to get ahead. Senior marketing execs are clueless. Constant focus shifting, half-baked campaigns, and people with little skill steering the ship, from the CMO on down. No bonus structure to speak of. Merit increases are a glorified popularity contest, or you get offered one when you quit. Career planning amounts to waiting for someone to leave, and maybe you'll get that job.

    Advice to Management

    I'm pointing the finger at the CEO. Either the mess isn't seen, or being ignored. Either way, the blame is on his feet. Do something before all the good people have left.

    I have been working at TIBCO Software full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    When I was hired, the best reasons were potential growth opportunities and a well established team.

    Cons

    No opportunity with the Vista transaction and leadership is oblivious to the internal issues. Culture is non-existent.

    Advice to Management

    I left because I didn't feel respected or valued. TIBCO unfortunately let go of quality employees that were critical to business function and then as a result even more quality employees had resigned. TIBCO has allowed Marketing to lay the blame solely on the Operational side but in reality the issues are stagnant in Process and poor Project Management. Open your eyes and address it. You let the talent go and the people left are walking blindly.

    Pros

    Had a reasonable product 2-3 years ago, people are friendly

    Cons

    Product and people have failed to keep up with the market. Lack of leadership and vision has killed the business and company.

    Advice to Management

    The business needs to be completely revamped - don't see that happening though

    Smart people Good products Good benefits Fair salary

    Cons

    Vista bought Tibco ... what more can you say? Just look at the reviews of other companies that Vista aquired. It will go down the drain. They will sequeeze them out. The only place at this company is for people who own them. Huge layoffs have already begun, ... further cost cutting wlll follow! VIsta has a playbook that they execute. Just read the other reviews.

    Feel awesome to work in the great place, great people; relative less organizational politics

    Cons

    everything become worse after acquisition, huge layoff, cut cost, morale is bad .

    Speechless, current management just the slave of the Equity Fund.

    Pros

    Benefits are amazing. Salary is decent. Qualified colleagues are true. Technology is amazing. Spotfire is truly amazing.

    Cons

    Marketing is null. Marketing has no money. No attention towards West Coast reps. No Partner challenge. Full of hot air with no results. High management is a complete joke. Its embarrassing how they use one of the best running backs of all time as a puppet.

    Advice to Management

    To mid management, leave and run as fast as you can. Upper-Tier Management are so out of touch it is so incredibly sad. TIBCO since, 1985? Really?!?! And I haven't seen one commercial, and branding is -10 out of 1 through 10. And stop "using" a former 49er as your client puppet. You might want to get somebody more relevant because using him is just old, obvious, embarrassing, and just plain weird.

    Big offices. Big cafeteria. Nice gym.

    Poor management and execution. Management does not have any clue what they are doing. Too much office politics.
