    Pros

    Very innovative and customer focused culture. Career mobility across functions and geographies even if you haven't done the job before, but you need to show the initiative. Highly relevant technology with social, mobile, loyalty, predictive analytics, and integration platform. The place to be if you are driven and want to keep raising the bar.

    Cons

    If you are looking for a steady state job environment, this is not the place as the pace is high and you will feel like you are getting left behind.

    Pros

    Excellent manager. Have been able to move to different roles over a long time at the company. Company focus on the customer has led us to continue to enlarge the business over many years.

    Cons

    Departmental silos, and even silos within departments hinder opportunities for even greater success. Management knows this is an issue, but it isn't a top priority, so it usually takes someone with a lot of motivation to overcome what should be a simple problem.

    Build a stronger culture for cooperating and innovating across different organizational silos.

    Pros

    Culture:
    - Customer focus (everybody in the organisation is tasked to help TIBCO customers succeed)
    - Innovation (always ahead of the competition)
    - Flexibility
    - Outside the box thinking
    - Sales attitude (everybody supports you in winning your deals)
    - Performance (not a place to work for "Non-performers" (B, C-Players)

    Cons

    As the so called "1 Billion dollar Start-up" TIBCO sometimes lacks some structure in certain areas

    I have been working at TIBCO Software full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

    TIBCO offers the opportunity to learn new technology and leverage that into helping our clients better use our products. There are challenges every day, it is never boring and always exciting. The benefits are second to none. Time off, and health benefits are both great and cost effective with the available choices.

    Cons

    There is a lot to learn, and in a short time to better perform the various duties assigned to us. Training can be hard to come by, it is best learned on the fly as the SW changes rapidly. Annual reviews and raises could be better to compensate for the hard work everyone puts in to keep our clients happy with our products.

    I have been working at TIBCO Software for more than 3 years

    Pros

    Knowledgeable and extremely smart people. Great culture, people are always willing to help, the benefits are a great plus.

    Cons

    TIBCO is not for someone who would want to coast to get by, you are encouraged and expected to go above and beyond. Also internal processes can slow you down, however that is extremely minor in my opinion and any large organization has these issues.

    Keep chugging along and remain focused.

    I worked at TIBCO Software full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

    Great mix of products. They have a dedicated, talented pool of people to work with. With the product set they've acquired, they can eventually solve almost any problem.

    Cons

    With so many products, it's hard to find the 'right' way to solve a problem. The company has morphed into a hard line numbers driven company where all that matters is EPS. There once was a time where you didn't have to fool yourself into thinking that the company cared about you or your career, that time was over a long time ago.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Recognition, mentoring, promote from within. Embrace the decentralization, and trust employees that don't work at the mother ship.

    Pros

    Great technology, smart employees, good opportunities for cross-training.

    Cons

    Poor work-life balance. Software sales is the bottom line. Management knows technology but not how to manage. No opportunity for advancement. Must know the products that make the sales (BW, EMS) to stay on client engagements.

    Pros

    It is a team environment where everyone wants to see our customers be successful. The culture is very entrepreneurial. There are many employees that have been here 10+ years.

    Cons

    Due to the entrepreneurial nature sometimes there is a lack of processes/formalities that other large companies might have but I think that is what make TIBCO unique and a fun place to work.
