I worked at TIMCO Aviation full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Stable job. Low to decent pay. Like most other job, you must show them you are valuable and a great asset for them to consider paying you more. If you want to start a family and work five days a week with the somewhat the same task, this is the place for you.

    Cons

If you are one of those necessary people, you can take a vacation if you are lucky, but you will be on call.

I have been working at TIMCO Aviation full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Good place to start but move on once you get some experience.

    Cons

Promotions are given by who you know and not what you know. Management can cause damage to customer aircraft and loose hundreds of thousands of dollars due to damage and late fines but yet can continue to be employed.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be more proactive and not reactive. Quit telling non cert mechs to falsify documents and do undocumented maintenance.

I have been working at TIMCO Aviation full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    Cons

Management do not listen to the problem from there own people. POOR Management

I worked at TIMCO Aviation full-time for more than a year

    Pros

This job was clearly laid out, with procedures and expectations communicated and reinforced constantly. Pay was every Friday, which is surprisingly convenient and helpful. Vacation and sick time accrued at a reasonable rate, holidays were nice, personal protective equipment was provided.

    Cons

I worked in the environmental office, so there was no upward mobility. No encouragement to seek out certifications or licenses, no promotions, no raises...no reason to rise above your current level of effort, to put it bluntly.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The management seems, in my view, to lay the blame for stagnant wages at the feet of the volatile aviation industry- but a good company plans for the future, and takes care of its people, so that it can remain competitive.

I have been working at TIMCO Aviation full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Good place to get some experience.

    Cons

Pay is low, who wants to work 50+ hrs a week to make bills and live comfortably. Pay for performance, if you meet all the criteria there will still be a made up reason to not give you a raise. Get it done, visual progress attitude from company. The rules are the rules will be changed to suit management.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I have been working at TIMCO Aviation full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Nice people, relaxed environment, good place to grow if you are willing to reach out to coworkers for guidance and assistant

    Cons

Too many layers of management, no pay for performance, minimal communication causing same mistakes to occur repeatedly and/or the same tasks to be performed by numerous people, working on improved training but currently there is none, sold to foreign corporation

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Clean house with management, require accountability
