I have been working at TJ Maxx part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

everyone in the working environment works together as a team and it makes your job easier

    Cons

when customers try to make returns of items that don't belong to our store and having to let them know that we are not able to take it can sometimes be a problem because the customer will sometimes pick an argument with u and if it gets out of hand then definitely call a manager to take over

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

they treat all employees fear I love working with them

I have been working at TJ Maxx part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

    Get paid weekly
CO-workers are great/fun to work with
Most, and I do say most consumers are very pleasant and a joy to work with
    Company frequently give associate lunches/activities
    Great culture and Value

    Cons

You do not have one specific job you are basically at the whim of the management
usually have to take on multiple jobs and those of others while also trying to do your own work load is very heavy and pay low
    Asking for TJX Rewards
Closing, recovery is really extensive especially for the person in jewelry (have to cover luggage to lingerie, which is half the store.)

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop being such push overs with the customers, they have no respect for the store because they can get away with anything and we have to sit back and accept it. We are a multi-million dollar store, increase pay rate no one can solely survive off this job alone, almost everyone I work with has two jobs. Do not force employees or consumers to open credit cards, it really changes the atmosphere of the conversation and relationship. Offer a rewards program instead.
