Fun place to Work

Cashier/Sales Associate (Former Employee)
Bethlehem, PA

I worked at TJ Maxx part-time for less than a year

ProsSince this was my second job, the manager was very flexible with my hours. I liked the people I worked with. I liked the company discount that was good for their sister stores.

ConsIt's retail. Sometimes working with the public can be challenging, but you know that going in. Pay is not high and hours around the holidays are long.

Great 1st Job Experience

Cashier/Sales Associate (Current Employee)
Highland Village, TX

I have been working at TJ Maxx part-time for more than 3 years

ProsIt's a good work environment and they are open to hiring people with no job experience if you are willing to work hard. Friendly co-workers and management. If you prove yourself in the job, there are opportunities for management training and raises.

ConsTypical retail cons are that you sometimes get angry customers, but for me this happened pretty rarely. Sometimes new hires don't receive appropriate training before being thrown on a register or into a new department.

Advice to Senior ManagementMore consistent training.

An experience at a retail store would demonstrate great customer knowledge of all sale ads.

Backroom Coordinator (Former Employee)
Little Rock, AR

I worked at TJ Maxx part-time for less than a year

ProsThe best reasons that I would consider working at JMaxx would be that the benefits are for the individuals that could take advantage of the benefit of working and the benefit of a credit line.

ConsThe down side to working at TJ MAXX would be a lack of communication between what time I were needing to be at work on time and not having the hours to complete all in on day, and having the role over of task to perform.

Advice to Senior ManagementI would like to say that an employer looks for trust and I have to place the same trust in the value dollar that is paying for a safe, on time, honestly, well deserved individual that is reliable with that client.
