    Pros

A whole whopping 10% discount. I just gave the stubs to my mom and let her reap the benefits.

Pretty relaxed place, a lot of freedom

    Cons

Timed you when you used the restroom, really? Don't you managers have better things to do, like I don't know..run the store?

    2. Breathe down your neck when you worked the front end. They would observe us on how we do asking about the Rewards program and if you didn't get any your shift that day, well they made your next day a hell.

    3. Not enough hours to really even pay for gas to get there. And the pay sucked.

    4. Too many managers and coordinators that had different ideas of how the store needed to be run.

    5. Tried to reward you with 1) free jeans day
     2) random raffle for crummy prizes 3) candy..really TJX are we three?

    6. Other associates were downright rude..made longer shifts a hell.

    7. I didn't feel comfortable selling a credit card to others that didn't fully understand how high the APR really is on the card

    Advice to Management

Treat us like humans, not salesman. Understand that selling credit sucks, no one wants the damn card.

    Pros

Working for Lou was an amazing experience. Part time after graduating from college as extra change. She managed the store with integrity and rewarded hard work.
Allowed room to grow in different departments, I soon got certified for jewelry and enjoyed being able to help in this way.

    Cons

Customers gets antsy around Christmas time, long hours- but management does a great job of keeping morale high.
Closing is a nightmare year round

    Advice to Management

Keep rocking. Perhaps start closing process earlier and actually warn guest that the store is closing before 5 minutes so workers don't have to stay for an hour after the shift ends.

    Pros

The atmosphere is fast paced and fun. The company makes it easy to learn the best ways to accomplish your job. They don't like their employees to stall. In fact TJ Maxx actively coaches you on all the different departments and different positions within the company.

    Cons

The hours are not really full-time. If you're hired at full-time, be lucky to get 30 hours a week. Also, forget about the overtime.

    Advice to Management

District management should learn that scare tactics just hinders the efforts the local management is making.
