    I worked at TMX Finance

    Pros

No pros. The interesting thing is they are quick to hire anyone for a high level management position with just minimum education.

    Cons

Their attrition rate is through the roof. They are quick to get you in and quick to let you go. Also, they are known to try to dispute you filing an unemployment claim as well.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Not even worth giving advice to since management is a revolving door.

Talk to any current or former employees. The picture painted here is not what it is in reality.

I worked at TMX Finance full-time

    Pros

Great salary!! Great benefits, although there is a waiting period (but that's normal). Some great people that are a part of the staff.

    Cons

Some of the Executive and Management Teams are extremely biased and show much favoritism. Some Executives have a reputation in their departments as "touch cookies" "hard to understand" or "hard to deal with" which is fine, but the truth is that they are just arrogantly rude and because of their position, they are able to enforce their ideas, assumptions, etc on HR without opportunity to address or clarify, on your part.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I would encourage the them to grant the same expression of fair treatment that you would desire, as a person, to others because position doesn't grant a license to be rude, arrogant, treating others as if they are illiterate, when in fact, if that were the case, they wouldn't have been hired on as staff.

I have been working at TMX Finance full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

are there any other than you are at least earning a paycheck? The customers are terrific though!

    Cons

your superiors/managers are always threating you could loose your job tomorrow. Expect you to pay OUT OF YOUR OWN POCKET for community events to "help your business grow". Salary is not really salary. Yea they can and will work you on average 100-110 hours every two weeks when you are salary however the catch is you must clock in 5 out of every 6 days in order not to be charged with PTO. You WILL work every holiday weekend regardless if you are not scheduled for that weekend. The excuse is from corporate "you have the holiday off so you can work this weekend to make up for it"

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

corporate is so disjointed from the stores in the field. You need to really look at who is telling/advising you on what should be done to make the business better and REQUIRE them to come and work in the field for 30 days before ever implementing any new changes or ideas. This way of currently doing business with multiple changes in a single month to one process or another only magnifies corporates lack of knowledge on the very business it is managing.

    Pros

Good pay, ok benefits the DM'S are very good with there employees

    Cons

The biggest things is the hours, they say 40 for hourly and 48 for salary but they have a pay period that is different then anyplace I have worked, so o e week you will actually work around 68 hours and the next will be more like 40. The other thing is the say they want owners not renters but they limit your ability to run the business as an owner.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You want owners then allow them to make decisions as if they are owners.

    Pros

I learned a lot from this company. It's a good company to work for with room for advancement if you put great effort in. Staff is easy to get along with, if you are not a lazy person..

    Cons

Sometimes you have long hours and work on Saturdays.. not every Saturday, but you are always off on Sundays. Exciting job.None. I think they do a great job

    Pros

The training General managers are trying there best. The corp office in Savannah is very nice

    Cons

They have zero communication. Work life balance is a joke. Your not working in the customers best interest. No hands on training in the store. They change your pay and no overtime unless your salary then work away.
