I have been working at TNG Merchandising part-time

    Pros

Merchandise Monday through Friday independently, Set your own hours within the time specified from corporate. Off on major holidays.

    Cons

Does not value merchandisers and their hard work. Not very professional and organized. Have you sign a contract stating a certain salary for one store at a comfortable hourly rate if this is the only store but continue to add additional stores without amending the previous contract to reflect any salary changes. When an employee base lifestyle around the comfortable hourly rate for two years then management decides to decrease hourly rate by $15.00 doing the same amount of hard work, receiving high mileage on your vehicle and your body. Have they lost their minds!!! Looks like it's time to visit the judge.

    Advice to Management

Become more organize and professional. The big office need to keep in touch with the cubicle workers and special have a heart and love for the merchandisers. We have to eat and provide a place to live just like they do.

    Pros

Flexible work times, set days. You can work in several stores, they pay travel while you drive between them.

    Cons

There is NO support after you are hired. It took them over a month to even get me a tag with the company name on it. While the job is not rocket science, there were also multiple stores that I was told to just go work it, you don't need any training or introduction.

    Advice to Management

Your employees are working hard for very little wage, at least acknowledge they exist occasionally. If they request materials, it is because they need it for their stores. Ignoring these requests makes them and you look bad to the stores they are working in. (Or trying to work in.)

I have been working at TNG Merchandising (Less than a year)

    Pros

Flexible, convenient, managment has been great. I get back what I put in and then some. It's been a great company to work for and, in my experience, this company values it's merchandisers.

    Cons

Training was very brief, although management was available for questions, the starting weeks could have been less stressful.

    Advice to Management

Communicate with your teams, be through with training. A dedicated trainer for each area would be VERY helpful.

    Pros

Limited supervision, set your own schedule, in charge of recording and managing your own hours, work is easy and not too intensive

    Cons

Management changes constantly, emails upon emails upon emails, compensation doesn't match requirements, have to use your own vehicle, be prepared to do lots of paperwork, if you give them an inch they'll take a mile...

    Advice to Management

Pay more, update your "mandatory" software, stop treating employees like they are crap, try and be calmer in your mass emails

    Pros

Potential to be a great company. Some flexibility. No one breathing down your neck. Nice coworkers.

    Cons

Poor and incompetent middle management. Need to clean house and start over. Do not value merchandisers. Problem is not the company the problem is the management.

    Advice to Management

get over yourselves. you are not better than anyone else.

I worked at TNG Merchandising (More than 10 years)

    Pros

None, there are absolutely no 'Pros'. If one existed, then the truth is (1.) it was a mistake! Upper management in home office will take it back or change something in order to find a way to take it back. (2.) there's a catch! Upper management sits back and laughs about it thinking everyone is stupid. (3.) senior management in home office creatively disguises a 'Con' as a 'Pro', sits back and laughs about it thinking everyone is stupid.

    Cons

Unethical, unprofessional, and questionable legal practices. No diversity in senior management. It's their way or the highway. If you do not fit their mold then you will not last very long at this company. If you have dreams of moving up in the company then good luck. It will not happen unless you become an unethical and unprofessional person.

    Advice to Management

There is no need to attempt to give advice to management, especially those sitting in the office. They do no care to hear the truth because the truth would expose their cover-ups.

I worked at TNG Merchandising part-time

    Pros

Monday-Friday schedule, you can merchandise the stores any time of day as longs as the store is open. No manager supervision only through texts, email or over the phone

    Cons

Low pay and i never received a yearly raise after 1 yr 1 1/working for the company. It's overwhelming during busy hours at the stores, you are not able to fix product that goes by the registers due to long lines. You drive around alot and just clock-in into drive time, they don't pay mileage between stores. Many stores are very unorganized in their receiving area and you have to climb and move pallets to get to your merchandise. Very little time to complete your work in each store.

    Advice to Management

Value your employees and their hard work, don't underpay them.
